1. INTRODUCTION

Rootways Advanced Product Filter is the smartest way to simplify admin efforts in finding

and sorting the products you want to promote on your ecommerce site.

Most of other extensions gives facilities to filter product at front side but for the first time in

Magento Extensions range Rootways provide Product Filter at admin side as well as front

side. Showcase the new products of your catalogue or promote the special offer on your best

selling products with such ease and despite writing code piles.

No technical knowledge required! Admin can filter products without any technical

knowledge of Magento and without any help.

Filter Products based on Sale Products and New Products.

Gives Advanced columns in Advance Product Filter product grid like Product Images,

Sale Price, Sale Price From/To Date Picker, New Product From/To Date Picker and many

more.

Admin can enable and disable menu of Advance Product Filter from admin.

2. HOW TO USE AND CONFIGURE

This section will show you how to configure Rootways Advance Product Filter Extension. It's

very easy and fast!

2.1 General Settings:

Go to AdminSystemConfigurationRootwaysAdvanced Product Filter

Shown below is the screen shot for Settings and detailed description of each setting.

Enable: Enable/Disable Product Filter Extension using this setting. If it is disabled then

you can not see Advance Product Filter menu in admin main navigation under Catalog.

Domain Mode: Choose Live or Development mode.

Domain: If Live Mode is selected, then enter live domain URL that was entered at the

time of purchase of the extension or if you've selected Development Mode, then enter

development domain URL that was entered at the time of purchase of the extension.

License key: Enter License key that was sent to you by us from the email.



2.2 Manage Product Filter:

After successfully configuring extension you can see New Menu 'Advanced Product Filter' under

Catalog at admin main navigation. Go to Admin→Catalog→Advanced Product Filter.

Here you can see two options for Advanced Product Filter Menu.

1) Sale Products:

2) New Products.



1) Sale Products:

At Admin side under 'Sale Product' Menu you can see collection of all on-sale products.

Products with Special price is displayed here only.

If product's Special From and To Date is out of range then this product will not be

displayed here. e.g. In Below screen shot Special Price is added and Special Price From

Date is 11/9/2015 and Special Price To Date is 01/31/2016, so when Special Price is left

blank or current date is not between this Special From and To Date then product

automatically stops displaying from here.

You can also manage products from here like Adding, Editing or Deleting products from

here.

You can see extra columns here, like Special Price, Special Price From Date, Special

Price To Date and Product Image. Special Price From and To Date fields also have

calender for searching product with From and To range.

You can also search product by any of the fields of products.



Below is the screen shot of Sale Products Listing to admin side.

2) New Products:

At Admin side under 'New Product' Menu you can see collection of all new products

only.

Products only display here if New Product From and To date is not out of range. e.g. In

below screen shot Product New From Date is 12/30/2015 and To Date is 12/30/2015 so

when current date is not between this date then product automatically stops displaying

from New Products listing.



You can also manage products from here like Adding, Editing or Deleting Products from

here.

You can see extra columns here like New Product From Date, New Product To Date, and

Product Image. New Product From and To Date fields also have calender for searching

product within From and To range.

You can also search product by any of the fields of products.

Below is screen shot of New Products Listing to admin side.



2.3 Front End Pages:

This extension also gives you Sale and New Product pages on the front end. When Product is on

sale or new it will automatically display all products under sales or new product page at front end

you don't need to create custom pages to display Sale Products and New products pages!!!

Use below URLs to display Sale and New product pages to your front end of website.

http://YOUR_DOMAIN/index.php/productfilter/sale/

http://YOUR_DOMAIN/index.php/productfilter/new/

Note: If you are not able to see both of these pages at front end then make sure you have moved

Files and Folders of extension to your current Package or Theme.
