PDTPercutaneous Dilatational Tracheostomy

DECREASE PROCEDURE TIMEPercutaneous dilatational tracheostomy (PDT) can be performed at the patient's bedside, eliminating the need to wait for an operating room. This has proven to significantly reduce the time from consultation to tracheostomy. PDT procedure completion time is faster than open surgical tracheostomy as well.1,2
