NOTE:Please read this guide in FULL before operating the MAS-G as you may damage it or prevent it from working correctly.

• ALWAYS Wear gloves and eye protection when handling a MAS-G that has a primer inserted.

• Do NOT Throw the MAS-G over-arm.• Do NOT Dry Fire the MAS-G.(fire without primer)• Do NOT Blind throw the MAS-G.• Do NOT Use the MAS-G near materials or foliage where it

could start a fire.• Do NOT Use the MAS-G under water. Water doesn't move like

air and could destroy the base.• Do NOT try to open the chamber door without following the

Loading a Primer guide on Page 9• Other than detailed in this guide, Do NOT disassemble the

MAS-G as you could render it inoperable.

Thank you for choosing the MAS-G Advanced Airsoft Grenade. It really is like nothing else on the market today. With it's All-CNC machined parts being Stainless Steel, Anodised Aluminium and Polycarbonate, no expense has been spared to bring you a truly remarkable tactical system.

We are still field testing the MAS-G and we would very much appreciate feedback on it or this document, particularly if you encounter any issues, so that we can ensure that they are addressed.

Firstly we'd like to take you through some of the

MAS-G's features, so that when you operate it you fully understand how it works.

CHARGING

For best results use a plug top USB charger that can supply at least 1A. Charging the MAS-G from a PC or USB hub will be very slow.

Connect the base to a USB Power source using the red cable, the base has a number of LED lights that will light up when power is applied. Then place the MAS-G on to the base.

If you see a flashing C then the MAS-G is charging.

If you see a solid C then the MAS-G is fully charged.

OPERATION

The MAS-G has 3 modes of operation:

1. Grenade.2. Tilt/Shock Mine.3. Tripwire mine.

The MAS-G likes to save power, if you don't press thebutton for 10 seconds it will turn itself off.

When this happens it will display O-F-F then power

down.To power up the MAS-G press the red button until thesmall dot on the display lights up.When you see this light up you can let go of the button.

Note: The small dot in the display will illuminate to acknowledge button presses.

If you see n-b appear repeatedly, this means that No Base has been detected. Your MAS-G will then power down.

If you have a base connected then the MAS-G will display the mode currently selected.

There are three modes:g – GrenadeS – Shock/Tiltt – Tripwire

CHANGING MODES

To change modes, having first powered up the MAS-G, press and hold the button again until the dot starts flashing. Release and press again until you see the desired mode digit.

Press and hold the button until the dot starts to flash.

Page 6: ADVANCED AIRSOFT GRENADE · Thank you for choosing the MAS-G Advanced Airsoft Grenade. It really is like nothing else on the market today. With it's All-CNC machined parts being Stainless

Release the button and the MAS-G will remain in thatmode, including the next time it powers up.

Grenade Mode – g

In grenade mode there are two deployment methods,Impact and Timed.

Impact

1.Press the button until the dot lights up then release to power up the MAS-G.

2.When you see the g displayed, press the button once to display 0 then press and hold the button and don't let go.

The MAS-G is now in impact mode and as soon as the button is released it will look for a Zero-G state.

3.Throw and release the button.

NOTE: It is important that when the MAS-G is thrown, it is done so under-arm and in a way that causes minimal tumbling in the air otherwise it will not arm.The MAS-G also records the maximum G-Force each

Page 6 © 2019 MOLYNEUX ADVANCED SYSTEMS LIMITED (Rev V2.5)

time it is deployed in Grenade mode.If your MAS-G is damaged and returned, we are able to see if excessive force was used when it was deployed.100ms after the MAS-G detects a Zero-G or Free-Fall state it arms, the display will cycle the segments until it detects an impact. Upon which it will detonate.

Timed (Does not detect Impact)

Follow steps 1-2 above but continue to press the button until the desired delay in seconds is displayed 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 or 9

Press and hold the button until the dot starts to flash. When you release the button the countdown will start. You don't want to be holding it when it gets to zero.

Shock Mode - 5

Following the steps above in 'Changing Modes', set the mode to 5 (Shock)

It is possible to add a delay, this will be a delay between when a vibration or change in angle is detected and when the grenade detonates.

Page 7 © 2019 MOLYNEUX ADVANCED SYSTEMS LIMITED (Rev V2.5)

Page 8: ADVANCED AIRSOFT GRENADE · Thank you for choosing the MAS-G Advanced Airsoft Grenade. It really is like nothing else on the market today. With it's All-CNC machined parts being Stainless

For example, if you attach the MAS-G to a door and you want to wait a number of seconds to ensure everyone is in the room before it detonates.

If you press and hold when it displays 0 then it will detonate as soon as it detects vibration or change in angle. Great for placing on an objective like a crate or ammo can.

If setting a delay (see Timed Page 6). In shock mode, when you release the button to deploy, the MAS-G will count down 3,2,1

This 3 seconds is to allow for the MAS-G to stabilise, after you release the button as it may continue to move for a short period, this time allows you to get clear and for the MAS-G to stop moving.

Trip Mode - t

Trip mode works in exactly the same way as Shock mode, except that instead of the grenade detecting vibration or change in angle, it has an Infra Red beam that radiates out up to 50cm.

There is a line below the window to indicate the direction of the beam and this should be pointing outward toward the desired detected area.

It is designed to be placed just inside a doorway.

Resetting the Base

If the MAS-G doesn't cock or you want to just test outthe modes without using a primer, connect the base, power up the MAS-G and deploy it in any of the modes but do not follow the cocking procedure. You will hear a click inside as the release mechanism operates.

Loading a Primer

ALWAYS load primers with the MAS-G powered Off.

ALWAYS wear gloves, eye and ear protection when handling the MAS-G in conjunction with live primers.

Holding the large part in your right hand and using your left to hold the base, ensure that the MAS-G is rotated fully anti-clockwise. Rotate the two parts 1/5th turn in the opposite direction to the next magnet attraction point.

When doing this ensure that you keep both parts pressed together so that the base does not come away from the MAS-G between magnet attraction points.

Doing this will clear the firing pin from the chamber door allowing it to be opened and preventing it from being damaged.

Open the chamber door and insert a primer.

Close the chamber door and then rotate the MAS-G anti-clockwise until it stops.

The MAS-G is now loaded and ready to be cocked.

Cocking

To Cock the MAS-G having inserted a primer and the grenade being powered off.

Ensuring that the MAS-G is rotated back against the cocking arm of the base.

You can do this by holding the MAS-G in your right hand and the base in your left. With the MAS-G upright, rotate the MAS-G anti-clockwise until it stops. You will see that the cocking arm will prevent further rotation.

Rotate the MAS-G clock-wise until it stops, then rotate back to the previous position.

Repeat this process one more time, then deploy using it's various modes as described above or via theApp as described on page 14.

BEACON

After each time the MAS-G detonates it enters something called Beacon. This is where the MAS-G will periodically flash a Red LED on the opposite side to the display, this is to allow it to be recovered from poorly lit locations. You can also use the signal strength indicator if used with the App.To Exit Beacon, hold down the button until the red dot illuminates. Release and the MAS-G will power off.

Un-Loading a used Primer

To avoid damaging the firing pin, ALWAYS Ensure that you follow this Un-Load procedure each and every time you use the MAS-G and need to open the chamber door.

NOTE: If you have a primer 'blown out' and you need to lever open the door, if you forgot to Un-Load a used Primer', the pin will still be inside the door, you will damage it.

1. Partially Rotate the MAS-G and base 1/5th to the next point where the magnets meet. This will move the cocking arm about 1cm and the firing pin away from the chamber.

2. Open the Chamber door and remove the primer.

Page 11 © 2019 MOLYNEUX ADVANCED SYSTEMS LIMITED (Rev V2.5)

Page 12: ADVANCED AIRSOFT GRENADE · Thank you for choosing the MAS-G Advanced Airsoft Grenade. It really is like nothing else on the market today. With it's All-CNC machined parts being Stainless

You may find that if the primer has 'blown out', you need to use a small tool to lever open the chamber door.

We are currently designing a small tool that will allow the user to quickly and easily lever the chamber door open if stuck, push out the old primer and load a new one while wearing gloves.

Cleaning

At some point after several uses, you will encounter carbon residue build-up.Supplied with the MAS-G is a small Allen key that willallow you to remove the outer diffuser and chamber parts. It is IMPORTANT that you follow these steps very carefully when doing this otherwise the base may notfunction after being re-assembled.

Firstly, with the base fitted to the MAS-G and the MAS-G secured up side down, remove the bolts retaining the outer diffuser and put them in a safe place.

Remove the Outer Diffuser by lifting it up and away from the base, if this is difficult it may be due to excessive carbon residue and you may need to use a flat driver through one of the gas ports around the outside to lever it open.

Page 12 © 2019 MOLYNEUX ADVANCED SYSTEMS LIMITED (Rev V2.5)

Page 13: ADVANCED AIRSOFT GRENADE · Thank you for choosing the MAS-G Advanced Airsoft Grenade. It really is like nothing else on the market today. With it's All-CNC machined parts being Stainless

Clean the inside of the Outer Diffuser with a fine brush so as to remove carbon build-up as shown below.

Also clean around the outside of the Inner Diffuser part taking care at this stage not to remove the Chamber parts.

This will allow you to clean the majority of the build-up without getting too much of it inside the inner workings of the base.

NOTE: It is VERY Important that at no stage the base is tipped over while partially assembled as it may

Page 13 © 2019 MOLYNEUX ADVANCED SYSTEMS LIMITED (Rev V2.5)

cause a washer to come loose which is required for cocking the base, or that the Hammer Disc is not lifted or pulled upwards. Once you have removed all the residue from the outside you can then remove the 3 chamber parts, inthe example shown here it is for the .209 primer.

NOTE: There is a small bearing sitting on the Hammer Disc, it is important that this is not removed. If it comes away with the chamber parts it must be replaced ensuring that the small washer is in place with the visible bearings facing down and towards the washer. This washer is a 2.5mm Stainless Steel 'spring washer'type and can not be replaced with a standard washer.

Charge Lock

When set to On, it will prevent the unit from charging. This can be switched on prior to a game so that if it is taken by another player it will not chargerendering the unit useless to them.

Silent Trigger

When set to On, and set in Shock or Trip mode via the APP, instead of using a primer or needing to cock the base, the MAS-G will alert you with a vibration and pop up notification.

You are limited by range and the App will tell you if you are getting low signal with slow pulsing vibrations.

If connection is lost then the App will make three quick vibrations.

Trigger in either mode will produce one long vibration.

Brightness

Brightness is set on a scale of 0 to 255.The brighter the display, the shorter your battery life. It is only recommended to use 0 when using the App and you should always return it to at least 1

when using it without, otherwise you could end up setting the wrong mode and blowing yourself up.

Shock Sensitivity

Shock Sensitivity is from 0 to 100 where 0 is Very Sensitive.

0 Should not be used unless the MAS-G is placed on a very flat solid surface otherwise it may detonate immediately.

A level of 100 would require a large bump or tilting over approximately past 45 degrees.

Steps

1. Select the mode g, S or t by clicking the digit2. Increment the delay by clicking the clock3. Hold down the red button to deploy the mode

If you select g and don't increment any seconds, thegrenade will detonate as soon as you hold down the red button.

In both trip and Shock modes, there is a 3 second stabilisation period prior to arming.

Trouble Shooting

You MUST wait for the base to complete it's cycle after detonation before removing it, this takes approximately 10 seconds.

Most issues will arise from the base being detached from the MAS-G before this time has elapsed.

It is always good practice to ensure that the base is reset ready for use.

You can do this by connecting it to the MAS-G and using it without cocking.

Simply set Grenade mode g and deploy with a short delay.

Exit Beacon as detailed above.

MAS-G Won't cock.Reset the Base as detailed on Page 8 and wait for 10 seconds from hearing the first click until you remove the base. If it still won't cock please get in contact with us.

Chamber door stuck shut.Using the Un-Loading guide on page 11 ensuring that the firing pin is clear of the chamber door, use a small flat tool to lever open the chamber door..

We are currently working on a small tool that will come with each MAS-G.

There is a long delay of more than half a second before it detonates. The base needs to stay powered after each use for 10 full seconds, this is to allow it to set the motor ready for the next detonation. If after detonation you are separating the base from the MAS-G within the required 10 seconds, it doesn't have this time to complete it's cycle and the motor will not be up against the release arm ready for the next detonation.

MAS-G Won't power up.If you keep pressing the button but the dot isn't lighting up, it might be because you've forgotten thatit's in Beacon after the last time you set it off..Wait and see if the LED flashes on the opposite side to the display, if it does, Exit 'Beacon' as detailed on page 11 of this guide. It may also be that the battery is low. Place it on charge and monitor the voltage with the App. 4.20v is fully charged. Less than 3.65v and it will not power up.. The C will stop flashing when fully charged.
