Philip Anderson, is the National Sales Manager for System Sensor Canada based in Mississauga, Ontario. Philip holds a Fire Protection Engineering Diploma from Seneca College and has been working in the Fire Safety industry for the past 18 years. He has been an active member of the CFAA since 1996. Simon Crosby, CET, CFPS is a Project Manager at Randal Brown & Associates Engineering Ltd., a building code and fire protection engineering firm. Simon provides fire protection engineering services on a wide variety of projects, including numerous fire alarm design and consulting projects. With an active interest in professional and industry development, Simon has served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Fire Alarm Association since 2005. He is also an active member of numerous code and standard development committees including the ULC S500F Committee, the ULC Subcommittee on Commissioning, the ULC-S524 and ULC-S573 Working Groups, and the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes Task Group on Fire Alarm Systems.

Steve Dickie has been in the building systems industry for more than 20 years and has held various positions during his tenure. His positions include Fire Alarm Technician, Project Manager, Service Supervisor, Product Manager, Sales Development, and Marketing Manager.

David Hannah is the Engineering Leader for the ULC Fire & Security Systems Group of Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada Inc. (ULC). He has been with ULC for 32 years in various capacities with the past 24 years spent in the fire alarm and burglary protection certificate services programs. The ULC Fire and Security Systems Group is the main resource for AHJ, Police Departments, Fire Departments and Insurance Companies to source out information, and ensure compliance to applicable standards by the mandating of ULC Certificates. David is an active member of several ULC Standards Committees for standards that are directly used by the ULC Fire and Burglary Certificate Services Programs, and is a CFAA Registered Technician.

Andy Hewitson P. Eng., M.B.A., AinstIB, is President of Hewitson Management Solutions, Inc., a business advisory firm now in its sixth year, which helps owners of small and medium-sized businesses survive and thrive. His 45 year career has included consulting engineering, product development, sales, marketing and general management in large technical firms. For 12 years he headed the Fire Safety Division of Siemens Building Technologies, (previously Cerberus Pyrotronics). He joined the CFAA Board in the early ‘90’s, and served as President four times. He is now a Life Member, and has provided consulting services to the Association.

Mike Hugh, is a Senior Field Sales Engineer at SimplexGrinnell in Mississauga, Ontario. During his 25+ years of experience in the fire alarm industry, Michael served as a Fire Alarm Technician, Technical Support Specialist, Technical Trainer and Product Manager. He holds an Electronic Engineering Technician diploma from Seneca College and currently serves on the CFAA National Executive Board as well as on multiple ULC Standards’ sub-committees.

Paul Jewett is a Corporate Trainer for Mircom Technologies Ltd. He has been actively involved in fire alarm inspection and service for over 30 years, specializing in large hotels and hospitals. Paul is a qualified CFAA instructor and has presented courses for Seneca Collage and participated in working groups for ULC standards. He is a member of the CFAA Board of Directors and registered technician since 1989.

Cindy Leber is the owner and President of Building Reports Canada (BRC). She is a graduate of Carleton University and a licensed Mediator. BRC was introduced to Canada in 2004. The tools BRC offers assist companies to complete inspections faster, better and more economically. Cindy has experience across the fire & life safety industry and has been involved in the design and implementation of countless work flow and management software projects. This provides Cindy with the ability to provide her members’ with the necessary operational support required when making any significant changes to an operation such as moving to digital documentation and organization
