Become a Member!Membership includes age appropriate access to the gymnasium, indoor pool, outdoor waterpark, indoor track, fitness floor, chill zone, and discounts on programs, special events, and rentals. The CAC has the following amenities:• Fitness Floor: more than 30 pieces of cardio equipment, 17

Cybex selectorized machines, walking/running track, a Smith machine, and an Adaptive Motion Trainer.

•Gymnasium: wood floor courts for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and pickleball.

• Indoor Pool: eleven 25-yard lap lanes, diving board, waterslide, basketball goal, and a toddler spray area.

•Outdoor Waterpark (seasonal): a zero-entry level activity pool, two large waterslides, lazy river, vortex, water play features, three tot slides, and a 60-gallon dumping bucket.

• Tot Drop: designated area for infants and child’s restroom, for children aged 6 months-9 years.

• Chill Zone: air hockey, two pool tables, ping pong, foosball table, gaming stations, and wireless internet.

Bowmen’s Homeschool PE Fun, classic games like kickball, dodgeball, whiffle ball, and capture the flag will be played in addition to running a one-mile test and learning body weight strength training. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games, including rules, strategy, and the fundamentals required to play. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch, followed by a rotation through agility stations and drills.

FloorballJoin this fast-paced, exciting, safe, and low-cost type of indoor hockey. Similar to floor hockey, it is played with advanced lightweight sticks, a whiffle ball, and rules that make the game faster yet much safer. All tennis programs including lessons, leagues, clinics, classes, drills, tournaments, and camps, are conducted by USPTA certified teaching professional Frank Ford and staff. All students must bring one can of unopened balls to the first class of each session. Minimum of 4 participants required. Registration must be made 3 days in advance of the first day of class.

For Leagues: No partner needed for progressive doubles leagues. Participants play three sets, one set against each opponent, and accumulate points on a weekly basis. Leagues will be limited to a maximum number of participants in each division, and are filled on a first person registered basis. Floating leagues allow players to schedule match day and times to fit their schedules.

AQUATICSJunior Guard The Junior Guard program helps students build a foundation of knowledge, positive attitude, and responsibility. Blue Fin Swim Team ClinicsThese clinics will provide technical instruction in all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) plus starts, turns, and finishes. The primary emphasis will be to learn to swim the strokes properly and efficiently. Some interval training will be offered to maintain an aerobic endurance base. This is an ideal clinic for those planning on swimming competitively in the summer. Last day of registration for all sessions is the Thursday prior to the session start date.

Pre-requisites: Ages 6-10 years must be able to swim one (1) length of the pool (25 Yards) unassisted; Ages 11-Adult must be able to swim two (2) lengths of the pool unassisted.

SIM MembershipsMembership fees for those living within the Town (residents) shall be $10 per person per calendar year. Membership fees for those living outside the Town (non-residents) shall be $20 per person per calendar year. Lunch ProgramThe Town of Flower Mound Seniors In Motion program offers lunch for seniors 50 and older. Metroport Meals on Wheels will be providing and serving the food from local restaurants on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch begins at noon and is $4 per person.

HOUND MOUND AT HERITAGE PARK

The Hound Mound at Heritage Park is the Town’s new 5-acre dog park that is being constructed on the east side of Heritage Park as part of the park’s phase II plan. Residents provided their ideas for the park’s name, and the town council approved it on October 19, 2015. The park will have separate areas for small and large dogs, and will include natural shade, hybrid Bermuda turf, irrigation, seating areas with water fountains, trash receptacles, pet waste stations, pet

rinse area, landscaping, and 40 parking spaces.

Cross Timbers Sports (CTS) provides basketball and volleyball leagues for youth Pre-K through 8th grade. CTS offers both recreational and competitive programs in both basketball and volleyball. CTS offers a winter basketball program as well as a fall and spring volleyball program.

Flower Mound Lacrosse Association (FMLA) is the Town’s youth lacrosse provider. The FMLA offers lacrosse programming for boys 1st-8th grade, and girls 4th-8th grade. FMLA offers a spring program, February through May.

Our clean up will be at various parks, waterways and trails around Flower Mound. Giveaways and door prizes will also take place. The Environmental/Heath fair will provide healthy and environmentally friendly information such as rain harvesting, composting, and recycling. Various Flower Mound businesses will have booths to provide information on how to live and stay “Green”. Shred-it will provide document shredding to all Flower Mound residents. CCA will be collecting gently used clothes / housewares and Best Buy will have a small electronic waste recycling truck.

Home Depot and the Town of Flower Mound are sponsoring this event.

Monthly Clean-UpsJoin KFMB every month for a small local clean up. This event is held every third Saturday of the month from 9:30am-11:30am. Visit the KFMB website for more details.

Lend-A-Hand Community Enhancement InitiativeThis program is designed to help homeowners that are under threat of losing their home due to illness, loss of income and age. The program includes a neighborhood enhancement event along with individual projects as the needs arise and funding is available. Please contact us if you know of a neighbor in need. We are also looking for volunteers in the construction trades to assist our volunteers with the projects.
