I survived the 9/11 because I re-scheduled the 9am meeting on the 51st floor of the

North Tower to a different date.

Page 2: Adversity

I learned that my ADHD was actually a gift.

Page 3: Adversity

Being in New York City on the day Obama was elected. I want to bring

PASSION to my work.

Page 4: Adversity

I was called upon to safely talk a despondent client off a bridge. That is the

greatest return I had ever provided in a day’s work.

Page 5: Adversity

Grand Mal Seizure. I know, probably shouldn't be this honest but having the

seizure gave me a new perspective...

I was hired by a major Whistler hotel and drove across the country to start work for the

winter. Upon arrival, I was advised the HR Manager who hired me had been fired and no

one knew who I was.

Page 7: Adversity

Orphaned at age 14 and emancipated at age 16.

My parents separated when I was in grade 2. Their conflict was long

and bitter and has never been resolved.

Page 9: Adversity

I sold my house to pay off Revenue Canada.

Page 10: Adversity

I was handed a pink slip shortly after I brought in the largest sale of our

company’s history. It felt like I had been punched in the gut.

My brother suffered a brain injury after being a victim of a random crime. It was

time to get out of Sao Paulo.

Two years ago, I broke my leg in five places and had four surgeries to fix it.

Confirmed that I am NOT indestructible as previously assumed...

Page 13: Adversity

Refrained from committing murder as I worked for the biggest A-hole imaginable.

My father declared bankruptcy and we lived below the poverty line. I

determined to never let obstacles in life dictate my success.
