If you need a place to keep your luggage during Advocacy Day, you are welcome to leave your bags at St. Mark’s Church, about an 8-minute walk from registration in the Hart Senate Office Building. Please note that you must pick up your bags by 5:30pm.

Message Training and practice with your team is required for all advocates. We will review our goals and talking points for the day. A light breakfast will be available at Message Training.
10:30am - 3:30pm Meetings with Congressional Staff
U.S. Capitol Complex, multiple locations
At the U.S. Capitol, we will meet in teams to brief elected officials and their staff on our important legislative goals. No one will advocate alone. Advocacy Day teams will arrive for each appointment, deliver a packet of materials, and talk about how Congress can help.
Advocacy Day teams will eat lunch together at one of the Capitol Hill Cafeterias. Please note that advocates are responsible for lunch.
3:30pm - 5:00pm Congressional Address to Advocates & Wrap-Up Discussion
U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Rm. HVC 201AB
Advocates will attend an address by Eating Disorder Champion Representatives, and EDC Board President Dr. Bryn Austin will lead a discussion of the day's events and experiences.
5:00pm - 5:30pm Bag Pick-Up

If you left luggage at the bag-drop in the morning, please be sure to pick up your bags immediately following the Congressional address and wrap-up discussion.

Hart Senate Office Building - Room 902, located on Constitution Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street NE Registration: 8:00am - 8:30am Message Training: 8:30am - 10:30am
METRORAIL
Take a RED line train to the Union Station metro
station (wmata.com). The Hart Senate Office
Building is about a 10-minute walk from the
station. Exit the station and take a left onto
Massachusetts Ave. NE. Then take a right onto
2nd St. NE. You will cross C St. NE and then the
Hart Office Building will be on your right.
You can also take a BLUE/ORANGE/SILVER
line to Capitol South metro station (wmata.com)
and head north on 1st St. SE toward C St. SE.
Take a right on Independence Ave SE and then
your first left on 2nd St. SE. You’ll walk past the
Library of Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Hart Office Building will be on your left.
TAXI
If arriving by taxi, tell the driver that you are going
to CAPITOL HILL, to the Hart Senate Office
Building at Constitution Avenue NE and 2nd St.
NE.
If arriving via Uber, the Uber app has the Hart
Senate Office Building stored in its system.
