ADI has extensive experience in design and manufacturing of high performance miniature microwave and digital subsystems for demanding high reliability defense and space applications. ADI applies expertise in system analysis, MMIC, complex ICs, and module design, mechanical packaging, automated manufacturing, RF testing, screening, and qualification. Since the majority of ICs are ADI products, there are significant benefits in controlling performance, scheduling, screening, qualification, packaging, part obsolescence, troubleshooting, and design optimization.

GaN and High Power AmplifiersADI’s leading edge GaN power amplifiers provide best-in-class in efficiency and power handling from L to Ka-band. Leading edge MMIC design and packaging simplifies integration and system development for aerospace and defense wide range of applications, with an expanding portfolio of non-ITAR and nonexport controlled solutions.
Integrated solutions, utilizing advanced power combining techniques provide high power amplifiers supporting up to 32 kW output power from L band to X band, provides alternative solutions to traditional traveling wave tube devices with increased reliability and efficiency.

Analog Devices has been supplying products for defense and space applications since 1972.
The Space Products Group is dedicated to supporting space flight and satellite applications. More importantly, Analog Devices is committed to the long-term support of the space market.
The Space Products Group is the center of excellence for unique device processing and qualification. This product line has a corporate responsibility to develop, market, and sell many of Analog Devices’ state-of-the-art RF and microwave, linear IC, data conversion, and digital signal processing technologies with QML Class V processing to the space user community. Our purpose is to provide leading edge, space qualified products and services to customers who require innovative solutions to achieve a competitive position in their markets.

Innovative and Robust Packaging Solutions
Analog Devices is committed to the development and continuous improvement of world class packaging solutions aimed at satisfying our customers’ evolving design needs. ADI offers a variety of packaging configurations that give our customers the flexibility and reliability they need to be successful. Packaging options include enhanced products (products available with temperature ratings of –40°C to +105°C and –55°C to +125°C), die sales, NiPdAu lead finish products, and MIL-STD-883 devices.
Enhanced ProductsDie from the EP process will be qualified over the military temperature range of –40°C to +105°C and –55°C to +125°C. EP products will be assembled on ADI’s 0 ppm assembly flow. Lead finishes will be NiPdAu by default or with SnPb for some packages. All EP devices have separate data sheets along with a controlled manufacturing baseline including one assembly site, one test site, and one fabrication site.
Die ProductsADI understands the need of our customers to purchase bare die for some specific applications. ADI sells bare die currently and is committed to supporting the needs of our customers for the life of the design. A complete list of available die can be downloaded from the Aerospace and Defense site.
Customized Solutions and System in Package (SiP)System in package solutions provide reduced size and increased integration to optimize system performance and footprint. Using ADI’s broad portfolio of die, advanced integrated solutions can be created for a wide and diverse range of applications.
