“Furthermore, some newcomers seem to have a lot of potential, such as Brandoni Solare S.p.A., which is a relevant company for sanitary equipment group Brandoni. Brandoni Solare intends to become one of the most prominent module producers in the Italian PV market. For the production of modules, the company Brandoni Solare S.p.A. will make use of a German manufacture semiautomatic production line with a production capacity of 20 MW/year. Aim of Brandoni Solare S.p.A. is to increase its production capacity up to 40 MW/year in 2010.”

The photovoltaic market is trying to become a mature market.
The great development of the global market in the last years has resulted in:
- Increasing of global PV annual installations
- Increasing of PV modules global production capacity (OVERCAPACITY)
- Increasing of raw materials global production capacity
- Development of the production process
- Development of the product
- Cost reduction
Market changing
The cost reduction of PV systems was really a driver in the PV industry

Cost reduction
- Focusing on Residential, Commercial & Industrial Roof-Top PV market
- Market differentiation
- R&D on new reliable products for new markets
- Industrial sustainable cost reduction
Brandoni Solare S.p.A. aims
PV Module Industrial sustainable cost reduction
Reduction of the cost of raw materials
Attention not affecting the reliability of the
modules
Reduction of the cost of the process
Product standardization
Reduction of the cost of installation
PV Module take also place of other
installation components
According to the above aims we redesign the PV module concept.

AETERNUM is a patented BIPV solution composed by:
- Photovoltaic modules BRP6336064F-XXX-AE
It is a laminate equipped with a special
aluminum profile only in one side.
2 of the other side are equipped with a
L-shape profile.
One side is frameless.

AETERNUM is a patented BIPV solution composed by:
- Photovoltaic modules BRP6336064F-XXX-AE
The modules is laminated using:
- 4 mm front glass with AR
- Front Encapsulant with
Low UV cut off
- Back Encapsulant with
UV cut off.
- Black Backsheet foil
PET based with high
hydrolysis performance
Aeternum System
AETERNUM is a patented BIPV solution composed by:
- Aluminum eave equipped with rubber gaskets
One in the left side of each modules column; one in the right side of each modules column
- A special aluminum profile
One for each columns of modules
Aeternum System
AETERNUM is a patented BIPV solution composed by:
- WOOD LATHS 100x50mm
- 5mm BUTYL TAPE
- SELF-TAPPING SCREW, STAINLESS STEEL 4,2x38
- SELF-TAPPING SCREW, STAINLESS STEEL 5,5x45
Aeternum System
1. INSTALLATION OF THE WOODEN LATHS
Mount the wooden laths 50x100mm, pitch 1133mm
Assembly instruction
1. INSTALLATION OF THE WOODEN LATHS
The fixing of the wood laths to the roof slab must be via M10 threaded rod or self-tapping screw or other suitable anchoring system.
The wood strip must be drilled for the positioning of the fixing screws.
The nut or the screw head must not protrude beyond the height of the strip.
Assembly instruction
2. INSTALLATION OF THE 1st ROW OF PV MODULES
Special aluminum profiles are fixed to the wooden strips using 2 self-tapping screws
Assembly instruction
2. INSTALLATION OF THE 1st ROW OF PV MODULES
The modules of the 1st row are inserted into the U-shaped Special Profile; the modules are prefixed to the wood laths through the holes in the L-shape profiles using n.2 self-tapping screws (cylinder head screw).
Assembly instruction
3. INSTALLATION OF THE 2nd ROW OF PV MODULES
Assembly instruction
3. INSTALLATION OF THE 2nd ROW OF PV MODULES
The modules of the 2nd row are inserted into the U-shaped Special Profile of the modules in the 1st row; the modules are prefixed to the wood laths through the holes in the L-shape profiles using n.2 self-tapping screws (cylinder head screw).
Assembly instruction
4. INSTALLATION OF THE LAST ROW OF PV MODULES
The last modules row are inserted into the U-shaped Special Profile of the modules in the foregoing row; the modules are prefixed to the wood laths through the holes in the L-shape profiles using n.2 self-tapping screws (cylinder head screw) as above.
Assembly instruction
4. INSTALLATION OF THE LAST ROW OF PV MODULES
Assembly instruction
5. INSTALLATION OF THE ALUMINUM EAVE
The last step is the installation of the aluminum cave to definitely fix the column of modules. To obtain a waterproof roof, it is necessary to put, between the aluminum eave and the modules, a 5mm BUTYL TAPE. After that, it is necessary to fix the eave to the wooden strip using self-tapping screws.

- IEC 61215: 2005 design qualification and type approval
With Mechanical load test conducted1: 5400 Pa pass
- EN61730-1: 2007 & EN61730-2: 2007 photovoltaic module safety qualification
- IEC 61701 salt mist corrosion testing
- ammonia resistance test
- tested in according to EN 12211 Resistance to wind load – tested until 3000 Pa (max deformation in the middle of the modules = 26 mm); 50 cycle +600 Pa/-600 Pa.
- EN 1026 Air permeability & EN 1027 Watertightness (no significant penetration of water until 450 Pa)
1 - TEST REPORT No. AR 12 TEST 164
Tests already performed
-prEN15601 Hygrothermal performance of buildings – Resistance to wind–driven rain of roof coverings with discontinuously laid small elements
- CEN TS 1187 - Test methods for external fire exposure to roofs
- EN 12179 - Curtain walling. Resistance to wind load.
- EN12600 - Glass in building. Pendulum test.

Ongoing Test
1) In a new roof installation, Aeternum PV module system allow to avoid the use of tiles;
That means: - Saving on the tiles costs
- Saving of tiles installation costs
2) No Aluminum PV modules fixing system on the roof
3) Waterproof system
4) High mechanical resistance & stability (wind pressure and depression)
5) 2 modules BRP6336064F-XXX-AE could be installed together with 1 Micro-inverter
6) The installation is simple and fast
7) Installation time = -20% compared to a typical installation of a PV System
8) High modules and roof ventilation
Key point
9) possibility to install the Aeternum system on the whole Roof surfaces (with custom made solutions)
Key point
