Gov Wesa and Afghan leaders were accompanied in SUV's from the center of Khandahar City,

drove through the city, down Highway 1 attended a Shura with over 350 elders, villagers, and

local leaders. The traffic moved smoothly and the road was frankly very impressive. Six weeks

ago we could not have imagined that the Coalition would have changed this environment that
