    Information from Civitas

Civitas Institute polling indicates support for requiring photo identification to vote has never dropped below 83percent throughout the history of Civitas polling. Furthermore, the idea garners bipartisan support as 96 percentof Republicans and 86 percent of unaffiliated voters say they favor a law requiring photo identification tovote. Democratic voters also support the idea by 73 percent.

Despite overused talking points of the far left, research shows an overwhelming majority of voters see photoIDs as a common-sense approach to preventing voter fraud and the US Supreme Court agrees with them.

Ballot security is most often thought of as the process of safe-guarding voted and unvoted ballots and makingthem only accessible to certified election officials. What is not considered is the security of the ballot when it ishanded to the voter at the polling place. North Carolinas ballot security system is adequate until the voter requests a ballot at the polling site. North Carolina requires only that a voter state their name and address inorder to receive a ballot - many times the only information given is just a name. Now is the time to add the finalsafeguard to ensure the entire voting process is more secure.
