learning will continue with many fun andenriching courses and activities.

Dismissal Procedure:
Please pick up your child at the service
window by the front gate. Also note the
dismissal procedure and late fee policy as it
applies below:
4:45p.m.
Enrichment class students are taken to the
office for pick up by parents.
5:30 p.m.
Study Hall/Extended Care students are taken
to the office for pick up by parents.
The school will close promptly at 6:00 pm and
all students must be picked up before thistime. Parents please be aware of these times
as it concerns the safety of your children.

Robotis Kidslab (3-6)
ROBOTIS KidsLab is an exciting way to learn STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)! Thishands- on program allows children to enjoy learn-
ing while building motorized robots! Robotis en-gages students with building robots as they learnvarious topics for example; gravity, light waves, IRsensors, inertia, force, power and more! Studentswill get the opportunity to create their own robot creations too! Through this hands-on class, students will develop self-motivation, creative thinking and fine motorskills. The intent is to help prepare and support students for the future as theymove into a more technical society.

Together we will explore journalism and newswriting by highlighting school eventsand student life at New Horizon Irvine. Students will learn the importance of the
writing process (pre-write, rough draft, editing, and final draft) as we prepare ournewspaper for the final printing stage. Studentswill share their voice as they learn how to summa-rize and report school topics through creative writ-ing. Please join our New Horizon Times team ofnews reporters.

Rainbow Chefs(Kindergarten 6th Grade)Description:Rainbow Chefs offers children the opportunity to
learn Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Kitchen Safety, Man-ners and Etiquette. Rainbow Chefs are dedicated toproviding children with a support system to develophealthy eating habits, explore their creativity and en-
joy being in the kitchen! This hands-on culinary-cooking classes teaches valua-ble life skills as well as reinforces the lessons learned in school such as: math,writing, reading, science, geography and much, much more. Finally, RainbowChefs does not use any processed ingredients, food coloring's or preservatives.
The chefs will show students how to make healthy foods with easy recipes, allfrom scratch!

This is a great opportunity to involve students in afun and intellectually stimulating game.

Soccer Shots (PS2)
Soccer Shots is a nationally recognized program that offers a high energy, funand age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. In additionto soccer, we work on improving childrens gross motor skills and teachingchildren important Character Development concepts such as teamwork, shar-ing, patience and respect. Soccer Shotsinstructors are enthusiastic and passion-ate about working with kids. Our goal issimple: to leave a lasting, positive impacton every child we serve!

New Horizon Interschool Sports League (5-6) - Fall Season Sign-ups
New Horizon will be entering our 5th and 6th Grade students into the Orange County Independent SchoolDevelopmental Sports League (DSL). This league is designed to help 5th and 6th graders develop their skills
and enjoyment for various sports in a non threatening environment. Our students will have an exciting oppor-tunity to enjoy various sports while practicing, travelling and playing other schools as part of a team with
their peers at New Horizon. The DSL is made up of three seasons, as follows:
Fall Season
SepNov - Boys (Flag Football) Girls (Volleyball)
Winter Season
NovDec -Boys (Basketball) Girls (Basketball)
Spring Season
FebApr-Boys and Girls (Co-educational Soccer)
The design of the program will be imbedded within students current Physical Education program with practicetaking place on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 2:45-3:30pm to coincide with their P.E. schedule except on game days(see schedule below). Students will be transported to and from games by chartered bus. Parents are welcome totravel on the bus, pending space availability, and are encouraged to attend games. We are excited to see the enjoy-
ment, athletic development, and school spirit this opportunity brings to our school community.
