Thursday January 19th, Trent and I were at George K Baum Company while our bonds were sold. Our bonds went up
for sale by the year of maturity (years 1-20) with different yields and interest rates for each year. We were able to see
the calls coming in on a monitor for each of the different 20 years. It was important that we attended the sale as we
learned about the process and were able to sign off on the sale immediately after completion. The true interest rate
for the 20 years is 3.4846%. Total principal plus interest will be $46,492,619.67 if we don’t pay it off early or re-sell the
bonds again if rates go down after 5 years.

The District received our FY 2015-2016 Financial Data Pipeline Submission Audit Report from Jennifer Okes, the
Executive Director of the School Finance Division of CDE. The submission by Cary is no small task and takes much time
and effort on her part. The audit was reviewed and accepted by CDE. The district is now in position to post this
financial data on our website. Cary is to be commended for her efforts and a job well done.

January was board appreciation month. If you happened to look at the district website, you saw the big thank you to
them. That’s what that was all about. Although they are much appreciated for all of their time and hard work year
around, January is the month they receive statewide recognition. This year has been especially busy with the bond
election, building the new school and now a superintendent search on top of their regular duties, makes it especially
trying. I would like to thank each of them for serving the community and the school district. Thank you all very much.
