Since 2013, dArt Aerospace has decided to strengthen its partnership with the major helicopter oem and has initiated the co-development of missionized equipment for twin-engine and medium-size helicopters. While understanding the pros and cons of the two approaches dArt now offers to the oem the choice to certify co-developed systems either through the aircraft type certificate or through its traditional StC approach. the Cable Cutters kit provides a means of protecting the helicopter during a wire strike by providing the capability to cut a cable or wire before catastrophic damage occurs. the kit is designed to reduce the possibility of a cable or wire entering the cockpit and to reduce the chance of flight control damage. Similar cable/wire cutting devices have proven to be effective even during multiple wire strikes. the kit incorporates both an upper and lower cutter and each cutter is designed with high strength cutting blades. the Cable Cutters kit design was tested to verify the capability to cut multiple cables with a combined tensile strength of 32,100 lbs. the AW119 & AW139 kit also contains machined deflectors for the wiper posts. the AW139 kit has 2 configurations, 1 with a short lower deflector, and 1 with a longer lower deflector that covers more frontal area against a cable strike. An optional gpS Antenna mount kit is also available, which allows the antenna to be placed on the upper cutter deflector for ideal positioning of the antenna.

the AgustaWestland A119 emergency Float System is compatible with ground handling wheels and the float bags can be removed in a matter of minutes. All hoses and fittings are stainless steel and an electrical solenoid valve with a mechanical backup is standard with the system. the cylinder valve assem-blies, floats and liferafts are available as exchange items, thereby reducing maintenance and down time. All float chambers come standard with field replaceable topping/pressure relief valves. the float bags are on-condition and they do not require to be returned

the emergency Float and emergency Float with integrated liferaft tech-nology for the AW109 consist of: 4 emergency floats (2 emergency floats and 2 floats with liferafts) assemblies attached to the aircraft structural float provisions. this design also utilizes aircraft electrical provisions for the floats (float arming switch, float deployment switch, liferaft deployment switch, and associated wiring). the kit also contains, at the customers option, two 6-man liferafts which are packed in the Fwd floats and have their own electrical infla-tion system. All the associated plumbing, hardware, and electrical components to complete the installation of the kit are provided. the emergency floats will allow the helicopter to land in water during an emergency ditching. the floats are inflated electrically when the float deployment switch on the collec-tive is activated. the Aft floats are designed to reduce the chance of a tail rotor strike during autorotation water landing. After a water landing, the two 6-man liferafts are electrically inflated by operating either the center console mounted guarded switch or the overhead mounted switch. only float system certified for the increased gross weight AW109S.

Jointly developed with AgustaWestland, the new AW139 emergency Float System offers outstanding performance with a weight reduction of up to 100 lbs (45.4 kg) over other oem float system options with sponson mounted liferafts. this system will be available for new aircraft delivery as well as a retrofit system for the existing fleet.

this innovative and patented Float System comes with or without integrated liferafts and consists of 4 emergency float pods. the liferafts are located in the Aft float pods and are able to be inflated even if the floats are not deployed. the floats are designed to be stable up to sea state level 6 and will be certified for ditching.

the pods contain a composite cover that is more resistant to wear than the fabric cover versions. these covers are flush to the fuselage with no bulging for improved aesthetics and reduced drag. the float system comes with only 1 inflation reservoir in order to reduce weight.

this tool is necessary, at line maintenance level, to remove the m/r pitch link to satisfy scheduled maintenance requirements for play check (axial) of the upper and lower spherical bearings (off the aircraft). it must be used to rotate the m/r tension link to obtain enough clearance between the m/r lag damper attachment point and the m/r pitch change lever, in order to remove the attachment bolts on the upper side of the m/r pitch link. the best way to prevent damages to the main rotor is to get action against the droop stop plate.
