Dear Colleagues,

This year the Italian Academy of Conservative and Restorative Den-tistry (AIC) and the European Federation of Conservative Dentistry (EFCD) have the honor and pride to organize, together, the most im-portant Conservative Dentistry Congress in Europe. ConsEuro is an outstanding event were researchers and clinicians from European countries can illustrate the state of art in Conservative Dentistry and present their latest scientific research.

To this exceptional meeting, AIC and EFCD have invited prestigious clinicians, researchers and experts from Italy and Europe to present their internationally acclaimed work in the field of Conservative and Restorative Dentistry, with a special focus on digital dentistry and its application to the restoration of teeth.

Preserving healthy tooth tissues has become the leading thread of our clinical activity and the goal we strive to achieve in our daily clinical practice. The concepts of minimally invasive dentistry, encouraged by the effectiveness of adhesive systems, are the principles of modern Restorative Dentistry in an attempt to maintain what has been saved from decay and wear. In this context, the digital approach offers great potential for the clinician, but an update on when and where a digital workflow could help us is essential.

The meeting program touches every aspect of Restorative Dentistry, and the best speakers from all over Europe will present a complete view on the latest techniques to achieve the best results, which have to combine functionality and aesthetics, easy execution and acceptable biological and financial costs. Thus, we will discuss: Adhesive systems in direct and indirect techniques, advantages and disadvantages of bioactive materials, remineralization and minimally invasive techni-ques and latest protocols in direct and indirect restorations. Moreover, a session focused on the digital workflow and another on aesthetics in restorative dentistry compliment the program.

Finally, also following new perspectives in restorative dentistry, inde-pendent sessions for Oral Hygienists and Dental Technicians are or-ganized.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Bologna to share with us the exciting program offered by the AIC 19th International Congress and ConsEuro 2017: A great congress, with great people, will create an unforgettable meeting full of science, knowledge, friendship and fun!
