• Strategic direction• Local workforce plans• Direct recruitment

Financial flexibility

• One-line school budget that includes:– school grants– staffing budget expressed in both full-time equivalent staff

and notional monetary terms

Building for the future

• Partnerships with local government authorities, industry and community

• Use of QBuild or contractors• Strategic Infrastructure (Assets) Plan • Capital works requests

Support, accountability and transparency

• System requirements • Performance agreement and review• Continued support

Selection process

• All Queensland state schools invited to apply• Seeking a diversity of Queensland state schools• Expression of Interest (EOI) Form and 3 page written

application– demonstrate broad consultation– capacity to assume greater responsibility– outline potential benefits for students and community– outline the innovative educational programs or practices
