ABOUT US

VisionEmpowerment of Women through Quality in Education.

MissionTo impart quality education to women and enable them to become independent and competent,

thereby benefitting our society and country at large.

Dr. B.M.N College of Home Science is a multifaculty institution, centrally located in Matunga. Our College is one of the 8 institutions under the umbrella of Seva Mandal Education Society with a total population of more than 6000 students on campus. We have been organizing our Intercollegiate Festival 'Akanksha' for the last 20 years. This is an extremely popular event which draws a very enthusiastic response from a large number of colleges in Mumbai.

In order to rise from its own ashes

A phoenix first must burn Octavia EBustles (Parable of the Talents)

In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a longlived bird that cyclically regenerates

or is otherwise born again. Associated with the Sun, a phoenix obtains

new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor

It is often said that ‘Life is not a

bed of roses’ well. We all, both as individuals

and as a society, Community, Country

have faced various challenges and

managed to gain victory.

This year’s annual fest Akanksha is one

such platform to transmit that experience of hardship, challenges and the victory

in the form of various performing arts

and talent Competitions.

So what are you waiting for, Grab the opportunity,

tickle your brain and tap your Soul to find those challenges

and transmit them into beautiful creations
