Demonstrated abilities in achieving cost savings across assignments, minimizing performance bottlenecks for achieving high productivity with maximization of men, material & machine. Resourceful at strategizing techniques for maximum utilization of manpower/ machinery. Notable Accomplishments: Initiated plant improvement initiatives like Asset Optimization, Process scorecard, ISO compliance, 5S and Safety. Production of value of products like Alloy Rods 6201, 8176 and 1100 grade. Successful casting and rolling of Hard Alloys like AA2219, AA2014, AA2519, AA7004, AlMg6, AA5086 and RD40M for VSSC, DMRL, Army, Navy and Brahmos application. Achieving production records by continuously improving availability, utilization and team building. Holds the distinction of completing various projects like: Reduction of Stub to Carbon drop below 120 MV. Reusing of damaged clads for reducing the COP by Rs. 1.5 Crore in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Reducing the manufacturing cost of Rodded Anode from 645 Rs/Anode in 2008-09 to 520 Rs/Anode in 2009- 10 and 2010-11 by taking various initiatives saving Rs. 3.5 Crore. Played a key role in installation & commissioning of Ingot Casting Machines, Furnace, Cranes, and Wire Rod Mills etc. Demonstrated excellence in the Successful Liquidation of blocked Inventory (Anode Butt & Bath) which resulted in a cash inflow of Rs. 40 Crores in first 1 year as Rodding Head.
