F.A.Q What you need to rent a boat

According to the current laws and regulations, for a bareboat yacht rental

(i.e. without a skipper), the person who will act as a skipper must hold

a sailing licence and be assisted by a person having the same qualifications.

The two licences must be validated by the harbour master’s office before

departing.

Is sailing knowledge required to spend holidays on a sailing boat?

Not necessarily!! If you don’t have any sailing experience, we can offer you

the services of a professional skipper (which will be charged accordingly)

and he will organize your cruise with you and your friends.

Because he is completely familiar with the proposed destinations,

he will allow you discover typical landscapes and the best spots

for swimming and snorkeling.

How to rent a boat?

Boat reservations can be done directly on line, through e-mail or fax. You just have to specify the period of time you want to rent the boat, the type of boat that you have chosen with or without a skipper, number

of days for rental, number of passengers and the sailing destination. All bookings will be firm and definite upon receipt of a 50% advance

deposit (by check, credit card, bank transfer or cash deposit) one week

after your request. Upon expiration of the above deadline, booking is

automatically cancelled. The outstanding balance must be paid 30 days

before departure. In case of cancellation more than 30 days prior to departure date, 50% of the advance deposit will be retained. No refunds will be made if cancellation takes place less than one month

before departure date.

What you need to take with you

Try not to take too many things with you. Opt for light casual wear.

Don’t forget that you will spend most of the day just wearing a bathing

suit. We remind you that, during the summer, temperatures in the

northern Aegean Sea are about 30οC (more during the day and rarely

below 20οC in the evenings). A windbreaker and a light tracksuit will

be quite enough for slightly cool evenings. It is preferrable to take soft

suitcases (such as travel bags) and avoid large hard suitcases. You will have

more room inside the boat and be ... less stressed out. High heel shoes

are not permitted. Take sport shoes with non-slip light colour soles, thus

avoiding having to clean marks on the deck and will reduce falling risks. Do not forget to take a hat, sun protection cream, swimsuits, and ..... your good mood!!

Rental conditionsAlbatross Yachting organizes your nautical stay from the moment you arrive

in Greece until the time you leave the country. We can propose various options

(Albatross plus and Albatross) ranging from a stay with all services included,

with a predefined sailing and activity programme, to an ‘a la carte ‘ programme

which we will help you to create. Our boats can be rented with or without

a skipper, provided that you fulfill legal obligations (sailing license).

Prices include

Boat rental with standard equipment as described in the inventory.

Bed and bathroom linen.

Tanks filled with soft water and 2 full gas bottles

Taxes

The chosen formula (Albatross Plus and Albatross) with or without a skipper

Prices do not include Skipper services (100 € approx. / day)

Boat cleaning (charged 60 €)

Fuel

Special Offers 10% for 2 weeks rental

15% for 3 weeks rental

Security Deposit

Registration for one of our trips requires the payment of a security deposit.

This deposit constitutes a guarantee to cover the boat insurance excess,

possible damages, losses or leaving the boat in another harbour.

It ranges from 1,500 € to 2,500 € according to the type of boat and must

be paid upon boarding by credit card or check.
