Every week we celebrate the wonderful learning and successes happening every day in our classrooms. This week I thought it would be nice to share with our community the awesome work our teachers put into their learning. As lifelong learners we are continually striving to improve our understanding of learners and the curriculum, as well as our impact on the young people in our care each day. We do this through continual professional learning and a relentless focus on supporting our students in their learning. Well done Albert Park teachers, enjoy a well-deserved break. STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY Staff will be involved in professional development on Monday, 29 April. School resumes for all students for Term 2 on Tuesday, 30 April. Happy a safe enjoyable holiday.

ANZAC Day The ANZAC Day March this year is on the Thursday before students return back to school. I ask all parents to support this important

day and have all our students attend. Students will need to be

in the Clyde Campbell Car Park at 8.30am. Look for the Albert Park School Banner. Students are to wear full school uniform and will need to bring their hats. We welcome any parents who would like to march

with their children. We ask that all dress be neat and tidy and men wear

collared shirts. Students, other than captains, do not need to

stay for the ceremony and can be collected from the front of the Baths at the end of the march. If students do stay we suggest they bring a water bottle and will need to be picked up at 10.00am.

Bill will be teaching his Baha’ì Faith classes next Term. Please contact the school if you would like

your child to take part his classes for Scripture on Tuesdays.

It’s hard to believe it is Week 11. I don’t know where this first term has gone, especially when I look at our Kindergarten children who have only been here for only 11 weeks but are now so much a part of our beautiful school community. Our Year 6 students have become awesome leaders and all our students have been involved in so many activities both in and outside of the classroom. I guess the old saying ‘time flies when you’re having fun’ is really true because it seems like only yesterday we were beginning the new year. We have already achieved much success this first term in a school climate where all children are known, valued and cared for.

We have some vouchers available for the

school holidays for a free gymnastics fun

session. We only have 12 so if you would like

one please ask at the office. Limit of 2 per

family.

You will then be asked to enter details to make a payment online. 2.Call their office on 02 9674 9824 and they will take credit card payments over the phone. (Note – there is a processing fee of $5 for phone payments.

I would like to extend all our love from our little school

community to Lorraine (Mrs Nicho) who sadly lost her

mum last week. We all send our love to you and your

family and want you to know we are thinking of you all at

this time.

A sad goodbye to an AWESOME School Captain All students in 5-6 had a farewell class party to say goodbye to Malakai Robinson who is leaving us to go to another school. He has been a great School Captain and will be missed by all staff and students. I asked the students if they would like to share some words about Malakai and here are a few of the comments which clearly show what a role model he is for other students. He always plays fair. He helps me out when I need it. He makes me laugh. He always lets me play in his games. He shares his stuff with me. We will miss you Mal. Mr Mack
