Yesterday was the Water Fun Day. Splash. I heard people in the inflatable waterslide. It was so much fun and everyone had a go at everything. My first group went to Mrs Noske and we did bubbles! Then we went to the inflatable waterslide and I was so cold. I wanted to scream but I didn’t so that was good. If I did scream I would have embarrassed myself. Then we played drip-drip-drop and we were going to smash the ice but we couldn’t. It was all Mr Smith’s fault. He is a goof ball. We watched a movie called Turbo and it was really fun. We had icy poles and I was so cold. HALLIE WRIGHT, 2TS

Pop! My bubble exploded. We were doing bubbles on a Water Fun Day. The bubbles were awesome. After playing with bubbles we did the inflatable waterslide. All I heard was splash! As we went down the side I got wet. When we were waiting in line I got bindies and I was shivering. Squish! We were doing a water relay with sponges. We had to dip the sponge in a bucket and run back to squish it in the bucket at the other end. We played drip-drip-drop. It was especially fun because I got two cups over my head. We were going to smash ice but we didn’t because Mr Smith let the parents have a turn. RUBY WILESMITH, 2TS

On Thursday K-2 had a Water Fun Day! We got to play all sorts of games like drip-drip-drop. It’s like duck-duck-goose but instead you use water. Splash! We also did bubbles with Mrs Noske. Pop pop! We all got prickles in our feet. Ouch! We watched Turbo in Ms Wood’s room. Our last rotation was smashing ice but Mr Smith left our ice out so the big kids got to it! We got to eat icy poles. Crunch crunch! They were really yummy. We got to go on the water slide. Yay! We did sponge relays with Mrs Golshan. Drip drip! LILLYANNE WILLIAMS, 2TS

Every term each of our stages has a problem to solve during literacy. This term we are all learning about Fairy Tales. Here are our problems to solve (and some drawings of the big bad wolf): K-2: Who are the 4 characters you would like to invite to the fairytale ball? 3-4: Who is the worst fairytale character? 5-6: Should we ban fairytales?

1. What was the last movie you watched? Power Rangers. My son is obsessed with it. He came into Mr Smith’s office and showed him all the moves!

2. Tell us something we wouldn’t know about you. I took part in the Melbourne Ironman Triathlon. It took me 14 hours to complete the race.

3. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Wedges with meat sauce, topped with cheese and sour cream.

4. What’s your favourite TV show? Star Trek: Discovery - much to my wife’s disgust.

5. Which superpower would you like and why? Time travel, so I could go back and watch all of the Adelaide Crows’ AFL Grand Final wins.

6. Where in the world would you most like to travel? I’d love to head back to Cambodia some time soon. The people there are so happy, friendly and helpful. The last time I went I was lucky enough to teach there as well and it would be so nice to see some of the students and teachers that I met and made friends with during the trip.
