Aligarh Movement

Aligarh movement was aimed not only apprising the British that Muslims are not only responsible for the war. Sir Syed then starts “Aligarh Movement” for muslims to teach them new and modern education with which muslims were able to survive and with a new educated mind.

Main things that Sir Syed wants to realize:-Sir Syed two pronged policy• To apprise the British that the

Muslims are not disloyal to them and only Muslims were not responsible for the war.

• To bring acute change in Muslims out look by learning english and getting modern education.

Sir Syed just want that the muslims will and should learn modern education and in this purpose, sir syed wrote many important books which were very useful for muslims to read and learn. Sir Syed also establish schools for muslims to get education.
