Dear All Saints Parish Family,

This weekend, we celebrate the JOYFUL third Sunday of Advent. What an amazing blessing the Advent Posadas have been so far, as well as the Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena! It’s so wonderful to be praying together the way we have this year. There was even more people than I expected who came out in the snow and ice last weekend! This is the spirit of faith that St. Pope John Paul II would be proud of, and the courage to pick up our Cross and follow Christ fearlessly will be all the more important in 2021 and beyond…

Who doesn’t need a blessing right now? Fr. Marcos and I are happy to visit.

The Annual Report was delayed in being printed this year due to an extension of the original closing date of St. Joseph School, along with conversations with the Archdiocese for additional help. However, we now have everything finalized, and the Annual Report and will be distributed in next week’s bulletin, December 19-20.

This week, we were able to complete one of the long-standing issues identified by our Buildings and Grounds Committee: the removal of some trees. One large tree removed by the rectory had dead branches threatening the building; one tree in front was dead; and the tree by the Mary statue near Broadway also had dead branches overhanging the road. In addition to these safety concerns, we hope that the removal of these dead trees should also enhance the beauty of our Church campus. Thank you for your continued support of the Buildings and Grounds Collections which makes these projects possible.

With everyone’s safety in mind, the Archdiocese is requesting that doors and windows remain open in church to improve

air flow ventilation. Yes, we know its winter and it’s cold. But we will do whatever it takes to combat the virus. Please dress warmly to attend Mass. We are also looking to purchase an electric heater and air filtration machine which will help keep things both safe and warm. Keep the Faith!

After this weekend, any remaining seats for Christmas Masses will be distributed, beginning with anyone on our waiting lists. Please make sure you sign up as soon as possible if you have not yet done so. Limited seating capacity available.

Finally, for us Catholics, the Christmas season STARTS on December 24, and runs for 3 weeks. This Epiphany, Fr. Marcos and our young people are planning a very special outdoor performance of the Christmas story with the three kings. Parishioners will be able to drive thru the experience, and it will be a wonderful way celebrate the Hope and Joy of Christmas into 2021. Please save the date: January 3 @ 2pm.

Este fin de semana celebramos el ALEGRE tercer domingo de Adviento. ¡Qué increíble bendición han sido las Posadas de Adviento , así como la Novena a la Virgen de Guadalupe! Es maravilloso estar rezando juntos como lo hemos hecho este año. ¡Había aún más gente de lo que esperaba que salió en la nieve y el hielo el fin de semana pasado! Este es el espíritu de fe del que San Juan Pablo II estaría orgulloso, y el valor de recoger nuestra cruz y seguir a Cristo sin miedo será aún más importante en 2021 y más allá…

El Informe Anual se retrasó en ser impreso este año debido a una extensión de la fecha de cierre original de la Escuela St. Joseph, junto con conversaciones con la Arquidiócesis para obtener ayuda adicional. Esta semana, pudimos completar uno de los problemas de larga data identificados por nuestro Comité de Edificios y Terrenos: la eliminación de algunos árboles. Un gran árbol retirado por la rectoría tenía ramas muertas que amenazaban el edificio; un árbol en frente estaba muerto; y el árbol junto a la estatua de María cerca de Broadway también tenía ramas muertas sobresaliendo la caye principal. Además de estas preocupaciones de seguridad, esperamos que la eliminación de estos árboles muertos también mejore la belleza de nuestro campus de la Iglesia. Gracias por su continuo apoyo a las Colectas de Edificios y Terrenos que hace posible estos proyectos.

Con la seguridad de todos en mente, la Arquidiócesis está solicitando que las puertas y ventanas permanezcan abiertas en la iglesia para mejorar la ventilación. Sabemos que es invierno y que hace frío. Pero haremos lo que sea necesario para combatir el virus. Por favor, abríguense para asistir a la Misa. También estamos buscando comprar un calentador eléctrico y una máquina de filtración de aire que ayudará a mantener la iglesia caliente. ¡Mantengan la fe!

Después de este fin de semana, los asientos restantes para las Misas de Navidad se distribuirán, comenzando con cualquier persona en nuestras listas de espera. Por favor, asegúrese de registrarse tan pronto como sea posible si aún no lo ha hecho.

Finalmente, para nosotros Católicos, la temporada de Navidad comienza el 24 de diciembre, y dura 3 semanas. Esta Epifanía, el Padre Marcos y nuestros jóvenes están planeando una actuación al aire libre muy especial de la historia de Navidad con los tres reyes. Los feligreses podrán ver el teatro desde sus carros y será una manera maravillosa de celebrar la Esperanza y la Alegría de la Navidad en 2021. Por favor, guarde la fecha: 3 de enero a las 2pm.
