Bell Shakespeare Visit Last week a group of performers visited our school to perform the play titled Shakespeare is Deadand asks the question whether or not Shakespeare is still relevant today. Tony Pasin joined students to watch this exciting performance. Suzie Mitchell Teacher We had to watch a Shakespeare performance by Alex Mary and Will. They made it really funny to watch. Alex was my favourite actor. They chose students to help with the act. My favourite part was when Ms Mitchell died from the poison wine. Shakespeare died at fiſty to sixty. Thanks to Alex, Mary and Will. By Ellison Dunn This play was about William Shakespeare and his life and the plays he wrote. There were no toilets or electricity when he was alive. The only way people found out about the plays was when a flag got raised in to the air. A red one meant love or romance, a black one was tragedies, and a white one was comedy. I loved watching the performance. It was very funny and interesng to watch. By Grace Jacob Will, Mary and Alex came to Allendale to show us a play about Bell Shakespeare. The play was about how to die in Shakespeare, love, fight, live and come back to life. Bell Shakespeare Visit

Last week a group of performers visited our school to perform the play titled “Shakespeare is Dead’ and asks the question whether or not Shakespeare is still relevant today. Tony Pasin joined students to watch this exciting performance. Suzie Mitchell Teacher

Fathers Day Stall SRC raised approximately $50 profit from their Fathers Day Stall held at lunchtimes. Thank you to families for their support. SRC Projects - Junior SRC are going to be working on garden beds down near the Ag area with the idea to plant flowers for White Ribbon Day. The Senior SRC have been working hard and coming up with lots of ideas. They have already organised, promoted and managed the Fathers Day Stall, Spider lunch time treat and Allendale’s Got Talent for students. Several students are helping out in breakfast club. MOUNT SCHANK TENNIS CLUB - Looking for a game of tennis ? We are currently seeking both Junior and Senior players for this coming season. JUNIOR COLTS COACH - The Port MacDonnell Football Club Junior Committee are seeking applications for a Junior Colts Coach for the 2019 season. We are seeking someone that has a passion for footy and is keen to develop and grow the skills and footy knowledge of our young future players of the Club. BLUE LIGHT MOUNT GAMBIER DISCO - Blue Light Mount Gambier is hosting a Treehouse Play Café Disco on Friday 21 September from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Limited tickets at $8.00 and can only be purchased form the Mount Gambier Police Station. Price includes 2 hours of fun at the Treehouse with disco lights, music and a pizza dinner. Drinks, snacks and glow sticks will be available for purchase on the night. BYO socks ! Parent/Caregivers to collect their children at 8.00pm. A fully supervised event - no pass outs. Recommended for ages 6-11 year olds. Flyer available from the School Front Office on request. JUNIOR GOLFING PROGRAM - Coaching every Thursday 4.00pm to 5.00pm. An OSHC October Vacation Care Program is included with today’s Newsletter. If you wish to use this service, please fill out the bottom slip and return to the School Front Office as soon as possible so that staffing can be arranged. Student Free Day

Playgroup is held at Kirinari Kindy on Wednesdays from 9.30am - 11.30am, running alongside a Kindergarten program in weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10.

Children aged from 0 to 5 are welcome to attend. It is free.

Families are requested to bring a piece of fruit for their child to eat at fruit time.

Shooting For The Stars Morning Tea with Ms Smith Week 5 & 6

We are looking for volunteers from the community to supervise the school crossing mornings or afternoons at the following times : Morning - 8.20am to 8.45am Afternoon - 3.10pm to 3.30pm Training will be provided. Please contact Principal Kylie Smith if you are interested in supporting safety around our school community.

School Crossing Road Safety

IMPORTANT - Year 8 to 12 students are required to bring a charged Laptop to School. They are also required to make sure their locker is fitted with a suitable lock.

Year 4 & 5/6 Naracoorte Camp Update - Invoices for the balance of camp payment, together with consent, medical and private car forms will be sent home this week. Please ensure your child brings these

important documents home and they are returned to School promptly. Thank you.
