warehouse or logistics areas. Allsteel fixed or removable Ball Tube Hand Rail

Barrier is a must for inclusion in your workplace Traffic Plan to prevent forklift

and vehicle injuries.

Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is able to offer a turnkey Safety Barrier Package, from

site assessment to system design and from manufacturing to site installation.

Systems include stanchions, rails, kick plates, bends and gates and can be

applied in numerous variations – as a single wall mounted hand rail or floor

mounted bump rails. Standard Hand Rail and Knee Rail type is used for stairs

and ramps, pathways and roof access walkways, step-overs and elevated

platforms and for every situation where a safe and comfortable footing is

required.

Depending on client needs and site specifics, Allsteel Ball Tube Hand Rails can

be adapted to create a Multi Rail System from three to six horizontal rails, or as

a Balustrade System consisting of Ø12 mm vertical bars at 100 mm centres.

Where an architectural image is required, infill panels of safety glass or

perforated sheet can be introduced.

Projects

1. Eraring Pump Station

HighlightsThe complete steel package, which includedthe design, modelling, drafting, fabricationand installation of a multi-level pump stationcovering all structural steel and metalwork.

DetailsTo conform to environmental constraints,Eraring Energy required a new atemperatingreservoir for the cooling of the process waterbefore release back into Lake Macquarie.The monolithic pump station is 15 metresdeep, having 10 x submersible pumps toeither fill or empty the reservoir. AllsteelProducts supplied and installed all accesswalkways, stairs, pump supports,submerged steelwork, pipe supports,gratings and hand rails. This large projectwas proficiently executed which resulted in asuccessful outcome.

2. Clarence Valley STP Upgrade

HighlightsThe entire steelwork package which coveredthe structural steel, stainless steel,aluminium and galvanised works to threeSTP’s in the Clarence Valley on the NorthCoast of NSW – Clarenza, Grafton andWoodford Island.

DetailsAllsteel Products Pty Ltd were contracted todesign, model and detail all facets ofsteelwork on the project. Coupled with ourSolidWorks programme, we were able toseamlessly supply the requirements of thebuilding programme. Although managedfrom Gosford, there was a dedicated siteteam that worked all three sitessimultaneously which ensured an on-timedelivery of a very large project.

DESIGN

Allsteel Products Pty Ltd have an in-house CADdrafting team, using SolidWorks for producingconceptual designs, modelling drawings and shopdrawings to assist in the execution of any project.This system brings together site measurements,design, client input, architectural issues, siteconstraints and manufacturing issues into a 3Dmodel, enabling all design issues to be resolvedand approved quickly resulting in an efficientexecution of the project.

PRODUCTION

With over 1,500 square metres of production area,Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is capable of producingmultiple and varied projects simultaneously. Weemploy highly qualified boilermakers, welders andtradesmen to ensure that projects are fabricated tocomply with our quality standards. The standardapplicable for Galvanising is AS/NZS 4680 – HotDip Galvanising (zinc) coatings on fabricatedferrous articles. Where additional safety featuresare required, Allsteel Ball Tube Hand Rails can bepainted or powder coated in Safety Yellow over thegalvanised finish.

INSTALLATION

Experienced site teams under the supervision ofproject managers are responsible for theinstallation of the project. Hand Rails may beinstalled using different methods of fixingdepending on the site requirements, these include:

• Base Plate Mounted to concrete or steelstructures.

• Core drilled and epoxy grouted into concrete.• Core drilled sleeves for removable Hand Rails.

SAFETY

To ensure that all tasks are performed under aSWMS, a Site Specific Safety Plan is implementedfor every project. Our Safety Systems arecontinually reviewed and updated.

INSURANCE

Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is covered by PublicLiability Insurance to $10 million, and a policy tocover the full amount of our liability under theWorkers Compensation Act 1987. Certificates ofCurrency are available for inspection if required.
