    My ALPFA Story

    by David Ribera

    Vice-President of Accounting

My name is David Ribera and I am privileged to be your Vice-President ofAccounting for the Spring 2011 semester. The first thing that comes to mind when I

think of ALPFA is family. When I went to my first ALPFA meeting to fulfill the Passport

to Success Program, I was embraced by a group of students that later on became my

family. The first student that approached me was Daniel Zamora. He made sure that if I

had any question, that he would answer them for me and leave me with no doubt that

ALPFA was the correct choice for me. Any time that I had a question, I could approach

anyone of the organization and get genuine answers as well as great advice.

Being part of the ALPFA family was a strong bond that I thought I could never

achieve from other students, but I was wrong. I have been able to meet and become

family with many great people that I know are always willing and able to lend a helping

hand when one is in need. I look back and think of the opportunities that could have

been available sooner if I had joined ALPFA a few semesters before. ALPFA has given

me the tools and direction that I need to succeed as a student, a professional, and a

person. I encourage all of you to come and see all the opportunities that our ALPFA

    family has to offer you.
