The Alpine Glass Company was founded in 1925 by the Rosselli Brothers—Marin and Charles. The originallocation was 608 East 4

th Street (photo below).

In 1928, the company was sold to Byron E. Morris. Morris had a new building constructed for the Alpine Glass

Company at 324 East 4th

 Street.

The new building’s construction was reported in the Reno Evening Gazette on May 30, 1929:

The architect for the new building was Frederic DeLongchamps and the original drawing is in the Special

Collections department of the UNR Libraries (775-682-5665).

Byron E. Morris held a grand opening for the new building on August 24, 1929.

In 1955, an adjacent building was constructed by the Alpine Glass Company on the site of an old home that was

moved and converted into a Sunday school and youth recreation center.
