Now she is becoming much worse, but, because of the things you have said, I am very happy that one day not only my wife, myself and all the peoples when they die can have the hope in heaven. So, for that hope I want my wife to get into heaven, if she dies ahead of me.So, he brought his wife from the bed and made her sit on a chair, but because of her weak- ness she had to again lie on her bed. Then Pradeep and Klimso preached to her in her own language (Assamese). After they had preached she made a statement, every- thing must go as God wills, so if I die now I will have no fear because I know about the true church of Christ. And now I have no doubt about the name of the Church, so before I die I want to get remissions of sins, I am not good physically and I will not be alright in my physical body, but I want to be in good health spiritually. The results were that a father and his daughter were baptized, but since the mother was very sick the brothers were only able to preach to her in her sick bed. Afterwards the two young brothers, who did the teaching in that house, were discussing between themselves that if she died before she knew about the original church then she would not get into heaven. Therefore, they reasoned that it was their duty to go again and preach to the whole family about the original church or the kingdom of Christ; if she accepted the truth, then died she would also have the hope of heaven. Thus, after coming back to the school hostel they phoned the husband every morning and evening about wanting to come back. So, a short time later he informed them that she was little bit better, so she can listen by sitting on the chair. So the two young brothers informed me and requested that brother Adamson (a fellow teacher in the Bible School) and I accompany them to the home of the family; after reaching there we encouraged them by preaching about the original church, which was founded by Christ, not by some human being, but only by our Lord Jesus Christ. THIS IS A REPORT FROM THE TORNADO AREA

JOYSINGH ENGHI

The students went from the school (Northeast Bible Institute) to the area where we helped the 314 family victims of the tornado. The re-gion is in the district of Karbi Anglong in the state of Assam, in the northeast corner of India. They stayed for ten days preaching and teaching. There are many people, who are interested in their preach-ing and want them to visit more and more. They visited house to house. Some group arranged public meetings and discussions.

Many people welcomed them. For example, one group of our stu-dents went to a village of the Boro tribe and there preached to them. Often it resulted in religious discussions with the people about the church and other doctrinal issues. The results were that a father and his daughter were baptized, but since the mother was very sick the brothers were only able to preach to her in her sick bed. 2018: EXACTLY ONE HUNDRED YOUNG WOMEN ENROLLED IN THE TAMIL NADU BIBLE INSTITUTE

This pictures students, who are set to graduate in 2019 and 2020. Since the school’s beginning (1991) more that twelve hundred have completed the two year program and graduated. They study the Bible 4.5 hours a day five days a week. They also learn typing, computers and tailoring. If they do not have their a high school diploma when they join the school they can earn their GED by studying in their spare time as we provide tutors. The sisters in the gold sari’s are their teachers. Next month we will feature the young men. Were these kinds of Bible schools conducted by sound churches here in the U.S. during the summer months they would go a long way toward fulfilling the Lord’s order, “teach them to observe all things,” which order was passed on to elders (I

Peter 5:2; Hebrews 13:17) and evangelists (II Timothy 2:2) in this generation.

Joysingh, also reported, old priest and his wife came asking about forgiveness and the hope of eternal life. One thing he said, “I was not happy with the work I was doing (making sacrifices to idols), so I need to change the god I worship.” He phoned Joysingh; then he and his father taught them. The following Sunday the two came to worship and were taught further; both were bap-tized into Christ. Joysingh wrote; please pray for them.

BIBLE SCHOOLS

Presently, by the grace of God, our response to the order of the apostle Paul, “train faithful men to train others” (2 Timothy 2:2) has brought us to the point that we have eight daytime Bible Schools with 415 enrolled; 242 brothers and 173 sisters. The av-erage cost per month for a fulltime students is about $165.00 a month.

We also have part time schools in which 91 brothers and sisters in nine different location meet three evenings a week for three hours. Another group of 834 brothers will resume classes on Sat-urdays September 22. These classes will be four hours teaching and testing Saturday mornings and four hours house to house personal evangelism on Saturday afternoons and evenings.

SATURDAY SCHOOLS The majority of these students are day laborers as farm hands and average making $75.00 to a $100.00 a month. Since they take Saturdays to attend the classes we provide them a stipend of $25.00 a month to cover the four Satur-days. This amount of funds is not to pay them to be stu-dents, but for a meal of beans and rice, bus fare and school supplies. It helps them, but it does not spoil them as a big-ger salarys could/would. The bottom line is that the cost monthly, is the $25.00 times 925 (834 + 91) or $23,125.00. Is it possible that you or the church could help? A $100.00 a month provides for four students.

In Christian love,
