Welcome to AlumApAloozA 4, the Airstream factory, and the townof Jackson center, ohio! You’re going to have a great week, and a

busy one! use this guide to plan your fun.

In addition to many favorite activities from years past, we’ve gotlots of new things to do, including towing Test Drives with AndyThomson, organizational sessions with professional organizer

Ramona Creel, tax tips for travelers from Marty Shenkman, advanced kite-flying lessons from Kimberley Ewell, a musical Jam

Session, Blogger’s Roundtable, and the Aluminum Gong Show!

FEATURED EVENTS

Airstream Factory ToursAirstream will be offering daily tours of the factory (twice a day on Thursday andFriday). Register at the Service Center. Closed-toe shoes are required, and youshould plan to walk about 3/4 of a mile. Production is shut down during the Fridaytour. This means there’s less to see, but also it’s quieter so you can hear the tourguide more easily.

Open HouseThis event is a great opportunity to show offyour Airstream, or take a peek inside everyoneelse’s! It’s also a great way to break the ice andmeet your fellow ‘Paloozers.

Outdoor ActivitiesEvery morning there will be yoga in the ActivityTent, led by instructors sKY:: and slaDE~. Thisclass is always popular, so please arrive 10-15minutes early! Wear comfortable clothing(dressing for the weather) and bring either yogamat or a large towel, so you can practice yoga, breathe, and stretch.

On two days we’ve got some easy bicyclerides planned, around Jackson Center andShelby County. Each ride will be arrowed so you

Page 3: Alumapalooza 2013 Event Program

can go with the group leader at scheduled times, or anytime you want by yourself.

On Saturday morning you can join the “Tiger Trot” annual 5K and 1K funruns, held at the Jackson Center High School. To register at the event, show upby 8:00 a.m.

Roving Happy HourAt the 4 p.m. announcements (under the main tent, where we give away the doorprizes every day), we’ll have 10 flags to hand out. If you want to host a HappyHour at your trailer at 5 p.m., just pick up a flag and stick it in the ground nearyour awning. Anyone who wants to join your Happy Hour is welcome when theflag is flying. The next day, we’ll collect all the flags and hand them out to 10 different Airstreamers.

Backup DerbyShow off your skill at backing up a trailer! We’ll supply a trailer, a truck, and anobstacle course made of traffic cones. This year the task is harder becausewe’re going to black out the rear window and mirrors. You’ll need a team of two:one person to drive and the other to give instructions over a radio. “The Stig” willdrive the course first, to set the time to beat. Sign up in advance in the Main Tentand get ready for some hilarious fun.

Rivet Masters CompetitionThink you know how to buck a rivet? Bring a teamof two to the Rivet Masters Competition and see how your team stacks up against Airstreamprofessionals, and compete with other amateurteams for prizes! Sign up in advance, in the Main Tent.

VendorsThis year we are expecting representatives from Airdrapes, Fantastic Vent, JoshRogan, Ramona Creel, Silver Trailer Jewelry, TechnoRV, SkyMed, WBCCI, and ZipDee. Fantastic Vent will be on site Friday and Saturday to do warranty work, repairs, sell product in the vendor tent, and answer questions.
