Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. With yarn needle, sew the Hair to the Head with Rows 8-13 at the back of the Head. As you sew the front of the Hair, make longer stitches down the front to mimic short bangs down over Franky’s forehead.

Ears (Make two)Round 1: With A, make adjustable ring, ch 1, 4 sc into ring. Pull tail to close ring. - 4 scFasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Use a yarn needle to sew Ears to the sides of the Head.

FinishingFor the nose, thread a yarn needle with a long strand of A. Come up between Rounds 10 and 11 of the Head and make several horizontal loose stitches about 2 sc stitches wide. Refer to photo. Keeping these stitches loose will give the nose dimension. Knot the yarn and weave back inside the Head.

Use an embroidery needle and black embroidery floss to make a mouth. Come up at one side, make a loose straight stitch across, back down on the other side, then come up at the middle of the smile, tacking down the loose straight stitch in a smile shape. Add a small stitch of red embroidery floss just underneath the black. Refer to photo.

Use a yarn needle and a short length of black yarn to make eyebrows. One vertical stitch and one longer horizontal stitch should be connected for each eyebrow.

With an embroidery needle and black embroidery floss, sew each black shanked button to the each side of the neck as shown.

Weave in all ends. Apply a small amount of pink blush to each cheek with your fingertip.

Dendennis lives with his girlfriend and daughter in Ams-terdam, where he runs a graphic design agency. In his free time, he likes to design fun and unique amigu-rumi characters. He started crocheting in the summer of 2012 with the help of YouTube and his mother. One month later he wrote his first pattern. Via Instagram and Facebook his popularity grew, and in March 2014 his very first Dutch crochet book was published. Within a half year he sold over 20,000 copies in the Nether-lands and Germany. Samantha Schreyer is a petite Northern Albertan and is the hands behind SnuggleMe Stitches. Crochet is a newer hobby of Samantha’s and its all thanks to a friend who got her “hooked”. She loved seeing what her friend would create and it got her thinking “hey I can do that too!” She soon became a yarn addict and avid pattern collector. Once SnuggleMe Stitches was born, a request for mini wildlife critters was received. When she couldn’t find that “right” pattern, she then set out to create her own designs. Samantha creates all her ami-gurumi patterns with inspiration from the animal king-dom, but with that much needed “SnuggleMe” flair.

Stuff the leg lightly. After making the second leg, use the yarn tails to attach each front leg to the front underside of the body, spacing them 1 sc apart.

Rear Leg (make 2)With C, make magic ring.Round 1: 6 sc into magic ring. Samantha Schreyer is a petite Northern Albertan and is the hands behind SnuggleMe Stitches. Crochet is a newer hobby of Samantha’s (as recent as November 2012) and its all thanks to a friend who got her “hoo-ked”. Samantha soon became a yarn addict and avid pattern collector. RoseWith F hook and B, ch 28.Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2, skip 1 st, *sc in next st, ch 2, skip 1 st; repeat from * across, sc in last st, ch 2, turn.Row 2: (Sl st, ch 1, 3 hdc, ch 1, sl st) in each ch-2 space across. Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.To form rose top, roll up into a flower shape so that there is 3 layers of petals. Place stitches through the bottom of the flower going through all layers to hold in place.

Cut Chenille stick/pipe cleaner to 6” and fold in half. With C, sc around the chenille stick (stem created). Hot glue stem to bottom center of rose. Insert stem of rose into mouth and secure with hot glue.

FinishingUsing B, stitch hearts on toes. Insert needle between sts 6 & 7 on leg and draw down diagonally right over sts 6 & 5. Repeat in the same spaces to double up the stitch. Skip over one stitch to the right and draw diagonally down to the left and finishing in the same space as left side. Repeat in the same spaces to double up the stitch (Heart toe created). Make 3 heart toes per leg.
