AMBIENTE DEVELOPS TOOLS TO NAVIGATE TRADE FAIRThe Ambiente trade fair, which willbe held February 8-12, 2019, at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds in Frankfurt, Germany, is developing naviga-tional tools to help visitors locate products among the 4,500 exhibitors. The Ethical Style Guide lists manufacturers that

produce in accordance with sustainability and fair-trade principles. The Contract Business Guide helps visitors working in the contract business to find the right partners. The special show Solutions speeds up the process of finding innova-tive kitchen and household appliances.

Ambiente 2018 featured 4,441 exhibi-tors and attracted 134,600 visitors from 168 countries, presenting traditional and innovative products. The global consum-er goods trade fair offers a wide range of events, programs for newcomers, trend presentations and award ceremonies.

Europe’s H-Hotels Group is im-plementing Duetto’s technology solutions across its portfolio of 61 properties in Germany, Austria and Switzerland ahead of expansion into other European destinations such as Spain, Italy and Hungary.

H-Hotels.com is adopting Duetto’s GameChanger Open Pricing application, its intelligent reporting solution, Scoreboard, and its groups business application, BlockBuster.

FOH DONATES TO HAITIAN CULINARY SCHOOL

From Our Hearts, the CSR initia-tive of Front of the House (FOH), a Miami-based designer and manu-facturer of dinnerware, buffet ware and tabletop accessories, teamed with Chef José Andres’ World Central Kitchen and its culinary school, Ecole des Chefs, where stu-dents prepare for careers in Haiti’s growing hospitality industry. FOH donated more than US$10,000 in wares to the school. The From Our Hearts team traveled to Haiti in June to deliver and install donated products ahead of the school’s first student-led fundraising dinner.

HRS GROUP EXPANDS IN NORTH AMERICA

HRS Group grew its presence in theAmerican market by opening new offices in Dallas and San Francis-co. Proximity to travel companies, hotel chains and customers, as well as access to business travel and IT development professionals was key to the decisions, reports the company.

Three years after entering the market, North America is one of the most important growth regions for HRS. Customers now include more than half of the top 20 global corporations (by stock market value) and services include profes-sional hotel sourcing and negotia-tion of special rates, rate audit and loading, booking and paperless payment for overnight stays and meetings.
