Hand Washing By Brian RossoHand-washing is the best way to stay healthy and avoid germs. Below are

some tips for washing your hands:• Use water that is at least 100 degrees F.• Use plenty of soap and make sure to scrub your hands for 10 to 15

seconds. Singing the “Happy Birthday” song twice to yourself is a goodway to time your hand scrubbing.

• Turn off water faucets with a paper towel.• If you have to open the bathroom door upon exit, use a paper towel to

open the door, which helps keep your hands clean.• Germs can stay alive on our hands for up to three hours.• Interesting fact: Right-handed people wash their left hand more thoroughly

than their right hand and vice versa.Have a safe and clean-hand summer!
