Amigurumi Deer I’ve put a lot of time into making this amigurumi doll and I thought it’s sad to put so much effort into something just to put it in the closet after creating it.. So I got the idea to share my patterns so that other people can enjoy my creations as much as I did and I hope this will be an easy and fun way for you to make this by yourself First of all I want to ask you NOT to (re)sell this pattern. Amigurumi Deer

I’ve put a lot of time into making this amigurumi doll and I thought

The terminology of amigurumi

St(s) = Stitch(es)

SS = Slip stitch

SC or Single Crochet: 2 stitches in 1 stitch - Insert hook in stitch stated, pull up a loop, yarn

over and pull through both loops

DC or Double Crochet: Same as the single crochet stitch but twice as high - Yarn over, insert

hook in stitch stated, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through 2

loops

HDC or Half Double Crochet: yarn over insert hook in stitch stated, pull up a loop yarn over

pull through all 3 loops on hook

TC or Triple Crochet: Same as the single crochet stitch but 3 times higher - Yarn over twice,

insert hook in stitch stated, pick up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull

through 2 loops, yarn over pull through 2 loops

INCR or Increase: 2 SC in 1 stitch - Insert hook in stitch stated, pull up a loop, yarn over and

pull through both loops, Insert hook in the same stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull

through both loops

DEC or Decrease: stitch 2 stitches together – Pick up a loop in stitch stated, pick up another

loop in stitch stated and pull this one through all stitches

You’ll need:

Yarn: beige, light brown and white light weight yarn

Materials: scissor, hook size 3.5, pink, white, brown and black felt, a needle, fast drying glue

and some fiberfill for stuffing.

Head

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with beige colored yarn.

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR every st (12sts)

3. INCR every 2d st (18sts)

4. INCR every 3d st (24sts)

5. INCR every 4d st (30sts)

6. INCR every 5d st (36sts)

7. INCR every 6d st (42sts)

8. SC for 6 rounds (42sts)

9. SC for 4 rounds (42sts)

10. DEC every 6th and 7th together (36sts)

11. SC around (36sts)

12. DEC every 5th and 6th together (30sts)

13. SC around (30sts)

14. DEC every 4th and 5th together (24sts)

15. SC around (24sts)

16. DEC every 3th and 4th together (18sts)

17. SC around (18sts)

18. DEC every 2d and 3d together (12sts)

19. SC around (12sts)

-Stuff the head with fiberfill

20. DEC around

21. Finish off with a SS

22. Sew the gap

Ears (2)

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with light brown colored yarn

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR in every 2d st (9sts)

3. SC around for 6 rounds (9sts)

4. DEC every 2d and 3d st together (6sts)

5. SC around (6sts)

-Stuff the ear with fiberfill

6. Finish off with a SS

7. Make two and attach them on the sides of the head. Use the picture above as an

example.

Antlers (4 pieces)

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with white colored yarn

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR in every 2d st (9sts)

3. SC around for 13 rounds (9sts)

-Stuff the antler with fiberfill

4. Finish off with a SS

-Make two and attach them on the head. Use the picture as an example

Start a new piece with white colored yarn

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR in every 2d st (9sts)

3. SC around for 4 rounds (9sts)

-Stuff the antler with fiberfill

4. Finish off with a SS

-Make two and attach them on the sides of the antlers. Use the picture above as an example

Body

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with beige colored yarn.

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR every st (12sts)

3. INCR in every 2d st (18sts)

4. INCR every 3d st (24sts)

5. INCR every 4th st (30sts)

6. INCR every 5th st (36sts)

7. SC for 5 rounds (36sts)

8. DEC every 5th and 6th st together (30sts)

9. DEC every 4th and 5th st together (24sts)

10. DEC every 3d and 4th st together (18sts)

-Stuff the doll with fiberfill

11. DEC every 2d and 3d st together (12sts)

12. DEC around (6sts)

13. Finish off with a SS, sew the gap and sew the head on top of it.

Arms (2)

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with light brown colored yarn

8. Magic loop (6sts)

9. INCR in every 2d st (9sts)

10. SC around for 6 rounds (9sts)

-Stuff the arm with fiberfill

11. Finish off with a SS

12. Make two and attach them on the sides of the body

Legs (2)

will be worked in continual rounds of sc, you may like to use a stitch marker.

Start with light brown colored yarn

1. Magic loop (6sts)

2. INCR around (12sts)

3. INCR in 2d st (18sts)

4. S C in the back loops only for the next 2 rounds (18sts)

5. SC around. (18sts)

6. DEC every 2d and 3d st together (12sts)

7. DEC every 2d and 3d st together (8sts)

-switch to beige colored yarn

8. SC for 3 rounds (8sts)

-Stuff the leg with fiberfill

9. Finish off with a SS

10. Make two and sew them on the body. Use the picture above as an example.

Details

The details are made out of felt. For this you’ll need to cut out some figures with felt in the shapes

showed in the pictures and glue them on the project.

-2 circles in black felt for the eyes

-2 smaller circles in white felt to glue inside the eyes to imitate the light reflection

-2 oval shapes with pink felt used as blush on the cheeks

- A triangle-oval (with round corners) in black felt for the nose

- An oval in white felt to imitate the light reflection on the nose

-The picture below shows the shape of the feet details

-For the tail I used a combination of beige and light brown yarn.

Pulled the strings through a stitch in the back and made a knot to secure
