The Need For Aid

Somaliland suffered from brutal Civil War which led to it being described as one of the most desperate places on earth

Often over looked as it is not recognized by many global intuitions as the World Bank, IMF, or any other foreign Government

Many street children are left alone to fend for themselves which leads to delinquency and drugs without access to education or other resources

One of World’s poorest places, in desperate need from the international community

Project for Somaliland

Focus on the youth of Hargeisa, Somaliland

Hope to impact public schools, orphanages, and neglected street children

Unique programmes:› Inspire Sports Programme› Community Computing Centre› Inspire Media Programme› Documentary

Partnership: HAVOYOCO

Inspire Sports Afternoon and evening

sessions of recreational football and basketball for girls and boys

Will help children develop healthy lifestyles and life skills.

Diversionary activity to reduce crime and the rampant drug use

In addition to training coaches and staff, help is needed to clean and refurbish the football pitch and basketball court

Sustainable by training HAVOYOCO volunteers

Inspire Media Programme

Plan to hold workshops in Hargeisa where community youth can share their stories and together can create a script

Also will help children develop filming skills, learning to edit, film, and ultimately produce short movies

Help is needed for film equipment such as cameras and microphones

Documentary and Continuing Support

One goal of trip is to film the young people volunteering and interacting with the members of the community
