Strategic Goals

• Address the skills shortage within the water sector.

• Assist Municipalities with skills supply.

• Registration with ECSA and other relevant

professional bodies.

• April 2012: Recruitment of Programme

Coordinator and the Programme Administrator.

• Recruitment of 44 Graduate Trainees in April 2012.

• Graduate Trainees started in May 2012.

• The phasing out of Programme starts in May 2017.

The Programme has recruited and placed Graduate

Trainees to the following Disciplines:

• Civil Engineering -10 trainees

• Mechanical Eng. - 4 trainees

• Electrical/Instrumentation - 4 trainees

• Chemical Eng.(operations) -12 trainees

(E & SS) -10 trainees

• Scientist ( water quality & lab) - 4 trainees
