From the President…..Rick Maxfield
Welcome 2015…. Another year. We have all had changes in our lives over 2014 and will sure see change againthis year. Who knew that gasoline prices would drop over the holidays, what a deal! I remember my first yeardriving, when I would drive up and down the strip to save a penny from 19 to 18 cents per gallon. Cherish thememories of the past and anticipate the fond memories of the New Year. As I wrote in the Shorelines last year, Imentioned a Jimmy Buffet Song, "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes". I have witnessed a positive"Change in Attitude" in our community this last year. Has your Attitude changed? Have our attitudes changedover the years, have our New Year's Resolutions been fulfilled? Here is a definition of attitude I have enjoyed formany years, and reminded of whenever I listen to that very song by Jimmy Buffet.
ATTITUDE….In addition to friendship, attitude is one of the few things in life where we have a true choice. We cannot change what is fated to happen or the actions of events or other people. What we can change is our reaction to such things with the attitude we adopt. In truth, our attitude can be moreimportant than anything we do. It can make or break families, companies, and nations. It is more important thanschooling, talent, looks, or wealth. How we react is everything and our attitude is the choice we have; it is a choice we make every minute of everyday. It is a state of mind that no one can take from us. If we are in control of our attitudes, we are in command ofour lives. And that is the best way to live.I hope your New Year's Resolutions come true as I know you are in the right Latitude, here in Enchanting Shores.Happy New Year to All.
The next regular Board meeting will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 9:30 am

DIRECTOR’S CORNER…..To All Shareholders:
Important Information…..
1. ESC Manager. As you have heard, Chuck, our manager has retired. Chuck and his wife are enhancingtheir lives with family and travel. Chuck has been our consistent manager for the last six years. We wishChuck all the best.
2. Bear resistant garbage enclosures. We have many enclosures available for your trash receptacles. Stopby the office for details. Enclosure is free, installation is Shareholder responsibility. FWC does not want totake on the responsibility of installation.
3. Water Conservation. Water, water, everywhere, not a drop to waste. Our water consumption is levelingoff. Did you know that a leaky toilet can waste up to 200 gallons a day? That is 730,000 gallons a year. Helpall of us keep our, (your), water bill down, which is part of our maintenance fee, by checking for a leakyfaucet, toilet, valves and pipes. Thank You.
4. Office Changes. Please bear with us, as we make improvements to our office structure. We will be seeingnew faces this year.
5. Enjoy. As always, thank you for your support. I encourage you to become involved in your communityand get involved in the many clubs and activities offered here at ESC.

To All Shareholders…..
Understanding the meaning of the Designation of Voting Member Form that was sent out with thefirst mailing of the 2015 Annual Meeting…..
A Voting Certificate Form should be on file in the association records from each jointly-owned andeach corporate owned unit in the community and a roster of designated voters should bemaintained by the association secretary.
The joint ownership by husband and wife should not be overlooked and a designation should bemade by them as well. When selecting an individual to be the designated voter, it is advisable toselect one of the owners of the unit. The voting certificate remains valid until the owners wish tochange the designated person or until the unit is sold.

CLUBHOUSE Report…....by Keith Avery
Following Clubhouse functions where there is any leftover food, please place it in plastictrash bags and keep it inside the Clubhouse in the Waste Management containers. This willmake it a little more difficult for our Bear to get into it.
Again a reminder... for the same reason please do not put out any food items in yourtrash and leave it out over night. Put it out Monday and Thursday mornings before 8:00am.
The New Bear Resistant Trash Containers…..
A bear resistant trash enclosure was installed behind 4 Jade Drive(it’s free - see the Office). It was a lot of work. Owner Patrick Nolan hadto unscrew the panels and the door off just to get the large woodenstructure into his minivan. He then borrowed the parks post-hole digger todig the 4 holes needed. DIYers come and take a look.
But please control your excitement while viewing the newly installedcontainer, because I will be sleeping until noon right where the container isinstalled under the bedroom window! Quiet ZoneCindy Nolan
Taste of Enchanting Shores and Tree Trimming…..
Our "Taste of Enchanting Shores and Tree Trimming" was a great success with about60 residents attending. The Event was held on Saturday, December 6th with somedelicious food and delectable desserts provided by the attendees.
After some conversation, we all trimmed our trees with ornaments provided by residents. Some memories were rekindled while placing ornaments on the trees. Keyboard playerKen April and vocalist, Rutha Bishop lead the chorus.
A big "Thank You" to all who assisted in making this event happen...you know who you are!!!It was great fun for all to ring in the Christmas season.

The Committee
Wow! What a great Christmas Dinner and celebration with friends (our ESC family) we had this year. Weenjoyed coordinating the dinner for those who would have been alone or had difficulty getting to a place for dinner and others who wanted to be together with special friends. The Clubhouse was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas sharing a dish-to-pass meal. The food was plentifuland there were a vast number of delicious salads, vegetable casseroles and desserts to accompany the turkeyand ham and satisfy everyone’s appetites.
Many THANKS to all the volunteers who helped set up tables to decorate the day before and give the Club-house a festive atmosphere. Also, additional THANKS to all who pitched in after dinner to rearrange tables andchairs, wash dishes and help clean the kitchen. Many hands ensured a very successful dinner. We also thankthose who donated several turkeys and money to defray the costs of ham and other dinner expenses.
It was our pleasure to help make Christmas Day special for the 120+ friends who attended.May you all be blessed with a healthy winter along with joy and happiness in the New Year.

We are watching from aboveThe stars you see up in the sky “That’s us”
We’re sending all our loveWe’ll see Santa and his reindeer
Fly through the sky at nightRudolph will be number one
With his nose so brightWe’ll see Santa on your rooftop and
Down the chimney he will goHe’ll leave all the kids toys and fill the
stocking to the toeDon’t forget the cookies or whatever he would like
Have our puppy in his pen, to be sure hedoesn’t bite
Some water for his reindeer, they will be thirsty tooOr maybe it will snow that night
They can eat that tooLeave a note to thank himHe likes to hear from you
We’ll ask God to ride with himAnd don’t let him get hurt

Pickleball is starting Wednesday,
January 7, 2015 at 8:00 am. at the Tennis Courts….
What is Pickleball? Pickleball is a racquet sport
played with a whiffle ball, Pickleball
paddles and a tennis net. Each game is played to eleven
points and you have to win by at least two points.
Only the serving side is allowed to score, and the server
can hold possession of the ball until they fault or fail to
score. The use of a whiffle ball reduces the speed of the
game making Pickleball an excellent pass time on
weekends and an even better introduction to tennis, bad-
minton and squash for very young players.
Older players will love Pickleball as it is a slower speed
game. The sport remains very popular
amongst senior citizens.

ESC TRAVEL MATCH -UP…..
In past years we received calls from single people who were interested in going on the cruise but
needed to share a room with another traveler. In some cases they inquired too late to find a
match. For 2015 we are going to maintain a list of singles interested in possibly going and sharing
a cabin.
If you are interested in going on the 2015 cruise and would like to be added to our list please call
Bob or Kay at 239-207-8039 or email kaybob77@gmail.com .
This list will not be posted on any board. Thanks, Kay Sherman
