TECHNICAL DATA

Our 2019 GSM is a vibrant ruby red with purple hues peekingthrough. THE aromatics and taste in this wine are freshstrawberries, black pepper, spiced plum, and morelmushrooms. It has earthy savory notes that balance the fruitcharacteristics coming through. The finish is bright andelegant, with a pleasantly soft-textured mouthfeel. Thethree varieties in this wine complement and balance eachother, making this an exceptional wine that is approachableyoung but will age gracefully over the years.

The 2019 growing season was unique. Late winter weatherleft snow in the vineyard in February all the way into March, delaying pruning and other vineyard work. Summertemperatures were cooler, with a notable lack of heat spikes.A minor frost event at the end of September was followed bya series of larger, statewide frosts and freezes in early tomid-October. Cooler temperatures contributed to loweroverall sugar accumulation and higher acidities, which wewelcomed in this vintage. The grapes were then fermentedwith 30% stem inclusion in open-top bins. Then aged onlees in large format French oak barrels to accentuate savorycharacteristics, while softening the texture and finish.
