A fling with fun! Wooden bridge ~ burbling creek ~ then step stone to another era and terrific 180 degree lake views. Water wings needed: Dueling aquaria adds aquatic appeal; a dashing wet bar. Round arches at the focal point stairway, curved planter under 2 story skylight. Vivid fireplace separates the open zone corner from living room (music, reading, computers). Dining in volume drama; floating buffet. The kitchen, anchored by “surf board” island; cherry, black granite ignite the comfort. Chefs special additions: cup-warmer below the espresso maker and below that a steam oven. Island cooktop has large wok burner; two rising, moveable vents. Adjoining intimate great room warmed by fireplace.

Overscale master ~ bumped out from original design for view advantage: freestanding fireplace, slate nook; “exposed” sink on iron brackets. Outside a raised patio, fire pit, beachside benches, gentle lawn. A boulder doubles as bridge over natural creek. Dock: about 100’ by 40’ and 15’ deep end (can accommodate a 70’ boat). 3 spots to moor; floating dock. Buyer to verify dock and moorage information.

Massive parking. 3 car garage, 3 car pad, wide driveway! Entertain, entertain.

Fishtanks. “Earthquake room” built to ward off nature’s forces. Lovely beach.

Mercer Island Parks

Mercer Island has 475 acres of parks and open spaces. Mercer Island Parks are open for year-round enjoyment and are the

perfect place for a variety of activities like: baseball, soccer, volleyball, having a picnic or taking a walk with the family.

Pioneer Park is our largest park, with 113 acres of beautiful forest and 6.6 miles of trails. The Park has been kept in a

natural state so that Island residents and other visitors can easily “get out” in the woods through the course of their daily

lives. Roads divide the park into three distinct quadrants.

Located on the northeast end of Mercer Island, Luther Burbank Park features spectacular views of Lake Washington, and has facilities for several water-based activities including swimming, boating and fishing. It is also a large park of 77 acres, and portions of its waterfront and wetlands foster a variety of wildlife such as 155 species of birds, beaver, muskrats and rabbits

There are many smaller parks, beach parks and street ends, providing an excellent opportunity for waterfront access and pursuing recreational activites.

Mercer Island schools

The Mercer Island School District is comprised of three elementary schools, one Middle School and one High School. The facilities, curriculum, instruction, and effective use of technology as a tool for learning are all factors in preparing students to think and succeed globally while using technology as an inherent part of everyday life. The district has more teachers with advanced education degrees than any other district in the Seattle area. It is known to be one of the highest assessment test-scoring districts in the State of Washington, and among the top in the nation.
