INVITATION TO TAKE PART IN RESEARCH
WE ARE DEVELOP ING AN APP TO SUPPORTPEOPLE L I V ING WITH I N JURY OR I L LNESS TO L I VE
WELL AND BE WELL
Our researchers are passionate about
person-centred healthcare and
supporting people with long-term
conditions to live well.
This research project is led by
Associate Professor Nicola Kayes @ the
Centre for Person Centred Research at
Auckland University of Technology
(AUT).
It is really important that we seek
knowledge and insights from people
living with injury or illness (potential
users of the app) as we progress the
development of this app.
This research is funded by Auckland University of Technology Strategic Research Investment Fund and approved for ethics by AUTEC 18/133 on 21.05.2018
Please contact Ann, one of our researchers
on the team, for more information

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
People living in the greater Auckland area,
or slightly further afield, willing to
contribute to the development of our app
by taking part in a focus group and/or
evaluation of the app at various stages of its
development.
Adults (over 18 yrs) experiencing ongoing
consequences from injury or illness,
including spinal cord injury, stroke, osteo-
arthritis, mild cognitive impairment,
amputation or cancer.
Our research, and that of others, has
shown that people living with long-
term consequences of injury or illness
can sometimes find it hard to live the
life they want to live.
We intend to develop an app
which aims to help people identify
what matters most to them and put a
plan in place to help them achieve
those things.
We need people who are willing to
inform us on the essential components
of the app and the functionality of its
features. This will ensure we deliver an
app that is useful and desirable.
