I often feel I don’t have any time for myself or for my family and friends.
I wish I had more time for some outside interests and hobbies, but I simply don’t.

I almost always bring work home with me.

When planning your week schedule time for family/friends make it as important, as an important meeting at work.
Organization and preplanning is important.

Without limits it is difficult to say the magic word “NO”.

MAKE SURE FAMILY IS FIRST! DON’T LET
“SOMETHING’S COME UP” BE A COMMON PHRASE
IF AND WHEN IF IT DOES OCCUR, MAKE A POINT TO APOLOGIZE AND ASK FORGIVENESS…
Let your wife, husband, kids know that you’ll be there their activities that don’t conflict with your events… AND a few that you can get staff to cover… go the extra step and surprise them a time or two!
Get out and play with your kids… teach them, coach them, support them in their endeavors…
Tell your kids/wife/husband that you love them… often!
Organize your procedures for pre-game and post-game… save time on both ends!
Find good people to manage different areas of Athletic Administration Relieves stress,
saves time, develops others
Concessions, Field Set-up, Spirit Wear, Supervision, Assignors
Maintain consistent and open communication with your secretary (if you have one!) You’re balance will be
much easier to come by if you have an efficient/professional person working along side of you.
Maintain a good rapport with custodial staff. Have a plan for set-up and tear-down
T-shirts, hats, jackets, etc. go a long way. AND always be genuine with them (know them by name)
Share your talents with kids/school Involvement
outside the athletic realm helps to connect with others… …play with the band, sing the anthem, enter the chili cook-off, etc…
