WHOIS DATA REMINDER POLICY(WDRP)

28

Whois Data Reminder Policy

• ICANN adopted the Whois Data Reminder Policy (WDRP) in 2003

• The purpose of the WDRP is to encourage registrants to look at their Whois data annually and make changes, if necessary

• All ICANN-accredited registrars must comply with the WDRP

29

Whois Data Reminder Policy (WDRP)

30

Questionnaire

Whois Data Reminder Policy Questionnaire

• On an annual basis, ICANN sends registrars a questionnaire intended to assess their WDRP practices and compliance

31

32

33

34

Whois Data Reminder Policy Questionnaire Responses

• Registrar responses to the questionnaire determine whether compliance action is necessary

• Registrar responses to the questionnaire are used to develop an annual report regarding WDRP practices and compliance
