DESCRIPTION

A teaser trailer for some of the sights on my Edinburgh Scotland walking tour. Stand in the bright city above and within a few minutes you could shake a dozen men of genius by the hand. Venture into the shadowy city below and you could vanish, your corpse rolled across the city in a barrel, sold, cut up, sacrificed to science. Welcome to Old Smoky, 70,000 souls swarming a mile long strip, ten to a room, breeding brilliance and insanity. Body-snatchers, witch hunters, firebrand priests, & philosophers all living on the side of a dead volcano. Together we'll climb up to the Castle, sink into the underbelly and explore the stories behind the sights. Our journey would range over much of human experience. I aim to nail the facts then bring the past to life, I want you to gasp at the drama, and ‘Arrr’ at the romance, history in 3D. See our most romantic city, from the best spots, and gain a deeper insight with me Sam. For more information see http://www.bravetours.eventbrite.co.uk or http://www.bravery.5gbfree.com

Of Parisian design, gracing a hundred postcards, The Ross Fountain. A mini version stands in Pelotas, Brazil, but we weren't keen. Church rockstar Dean Ramsay described it as 'Grossly indecent and disgusting; insulting and offensive to the moral feelings of the community and disgraceful to the City.' It's Magnificent.

It's Magnificent, and the tour will end near here.

Edinburgh's celebrities write books. Top right is the author who was told by her publisher to pose as a man, or her books wouldn't sell to boys. They sold, she did OK.

The largest monument to a writer in the world. He also has a statue in New York's central Park. JK's got some catching up to do.

What does the Army fire every day at one o'clock from the castle? 13.00 eh? That's quite a sleep in.

Great views from Calton Hill, and the clearest examples of why we're called the Athens of the North. Ask me about it.

Spot the silhouette of the one o'clock gun by moonlight. Helped by LED light.

There's a big aluminium ball sitting on the roof to the right. Don't know what that's about.

Want to sleep well before your flight? Go climb Arthur's seat and watch sunset. Amazing view, Scotland has the only Parliament in the world built on the edge of a Volcano.

Edinburgh's thick 'pea soup' fogs were the call for murderers to prowl. We'll visit Greyfriars Kirkyard on the tour, and here some grim grim tales.

Look at the horses face! He's thinking 'what the hell happened to my hoofs?' Why's a Roman Caesar prancing through central Edinburgh? Find out today!

Some, somewhat famous, author escaped her children and finished the last chapters of her series here. Do you know who? Hallows if I know.

The most gothic city in Europe. Old Reekie wasn't a safe place after dark. Venture out and you could end up sliced and diced by an Army surgeon, while students paid to watch!

Watch out! Wild Haggis about. I've taken a 10 week class on Scottish culture, come on my tour and I'll give you a fix of the lighter stuff, like Haggis, and our literary heavy weights. Leave us more enlightened and rounded.

Wellington, defeated Napoleon, saved Europe. Now he directs folk to the pub.

This way!

An evening to propose! Or better, go on my tour!! No wait, it doesn't run then. :(Propose I suppose.

A very dull, dreary man remembered for a very brilliant wife. I wonder where you can find out why?

Since you ask, just behind that left pillar. Where you can also find out how we accidentally landed this, the largest arts festival in the world.

Come join us! We start on the Royal Mile, outside St Giles Cathedral, opposite Mary King's close.

If you get lost ask for Saint Giles Cathedral.

BRAVE tours. Come rain, come shine, we'll have a brilliant time. I wish you the best on your travels. Love Sam.
