for use under most floor coverings

CA2 – Acoustic MattingRecent construction methods and environmental restrictions have increased the need for multi-occupancy buildings and noise isa very stressful but serious element of this type of the built environment and calls for extensive consideration and controls.

Whisper Acoustics CA2 is a Fully Recycled Rubber Corkresilient layer designed to absorb footfall noise andincrease living standards within the construction, whetherin residential or commercial applications. The material alsohas a Zero ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) and ZeroGWP (Global Warming Potential).

Whisper Acoustics CA2 is an acoustic membrane designedfor use on top of concrete floors, thereby eliminating theproblems of under-screed layers which may be bridgedduring site installation causing expensive failures.

The membrane is suitable for use under most floor finishesincluding:

• Ceramic Tiles• Sheet Vinyl• Stone Floors

• Laminate• Wood Floors• Parquet

• Carpet• Marble Floors

• Easy to install• Remains continually elastic thereby increasing

the comfort of the surface• Fully recycled• Minimum Construction – Low floor build-up• Suitable under most substrates• Document E compliant

• Suitable for refurbishment & new build• Good footfall noise reduction• Good thermal conductivity compatible with

under-floor heating systems• Complies with Doc. E 2003 – Part H (Scotland)• Robust Detail Compliant E-FC-8.• Competitive price

The benefits of CA2 Matting include:

Test DataWhisper Acoustics CA2 is availablein 3mm and 5mm thicknesses and, dependent upon the thickness, provides different Acoustic Dataperformances.

The most severe testing isnormally carried out using a hardsurface such as Wood Laminate orCeramic Tiles over Concrete.

Whisper Acoustics CA2 hasundergone extensive testing bothin a recognised Accredited TestFacility and also on various sitesunder the majority of floor finishes.

The material was tested in theFrauhofer Institute in Germany andshows compliance of the CA2 tothe British Document E andGerman DIN ISO 140-8STANDARD when used as part ofa complete Acoustic System.
