To kick-start the investigation, Stephen Knight, Chair of the Economy Committee worked with apprentices from the United Kitchen Apprenticeship Programme.

The programme is run by Beyond Food in partnership with Brigade Restaurant and Babcock International training providers.

The United Kitchen Apprenticeship gives vulnerable people a fresh start by offering an apprenticeship programme to study towards an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery, whilst working in the kitchen team at Brigade Restaurant.

This is one of the many programmes the Committee will examine to contribute to its findings. If you are an apprentice or employer, share your story with us at economycommittee@london.gov.uk
