What does mathematical literacy mean to you?

Briefly write down your understanding of mathematical literacy. Share it with your table group.

Read the district’s vision of mathematical literacy.

How is your definition similar or different to the vision put forth by MPS?

Use the next 10 minutes to: Read pages 12 -16 of the CMSP plan.

Highlight phrases that are significant in understanding mission of the CMSP-Mathematics section.

What’s the “Gist” of the CMSP Vision and Mission Statements

As a table group, create a paragraph capturing the “gist” of the vision and mission of the CMSP as it relates to mathematics instruction.
