AP47 A rare SILVER-PLATED example of the Korkmaster. Aluminum versions with cast worm weight 6.2 ounces. This one is a hefty 13.2 ounces and has a substantial steel cut worm. In the jeweler’s box. Marshall T. McDowell’s U. S. Design Patent No. 148,810 of February 24, 1948. $625

AP88 Excellent wood handle corkscrew with bell. $175

AR19 Aluminum frame with aluminum rasp type handle. Two tabs are cast as part of the frame to locate it on the bottle. $95

RA39 Rack & pinion corkscrew marked PRESSURE CAST IN MAZAK and WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF IMPERIAL SMELTING CORPORATION LIMITED. Meshing gears totally enclosed in handle. $135

DB106 Gold color corkscrew labeled “Norm Thompson” for the mailorder company of that name. $65 The earliest Valezina corkscrews are marked as on the left MADE IN ENGLAND, PAT. PEND., REG. DESIGN No. 857,383 (English Registration of 1949). Later examples included the Canadian Reg. Design No. 112-17645 and dropped the PAT. PEND.

FR80 Open frame corkscrew with rollover locking collar marked THE CHALLENGE. $45

FH50 The "KARIBA", a French corkscrew which uses a plastic ring to pull on a cord tied to a nylon cord which through a system of pulleys or tackle reduction mechanism makes it easier to pull a cork. U.S. Patent No. 4,393,733 was granted on July 19, 1983 to Bruno Desnoulez Andre Dejoux, France for this mechanism. This model was later granted U.S. Design Patent No. D307,102 on April 10, 1990 to Bruno Desnoulez, France. $95

GM21 The Bodega. Ernst Scharff's German Patent No. 113,367 of August 29, 1899. Scharff's design was also registered in Germany (No. 133,637 dated October 20, 1899). The corkscrew was also patented in England (No. 2,635 of February 9, 1900). A small bit of the casting in the top is broken which does not inhibit action. Not marked. $175

IC65 An odd double lever corkscrew with a wood handle having a cap lifter in the end. On the handle is "Extra Fryns Hasselt". The gears don't mesh properly so you need to work at it to use it. If you are just going to display it, it will show off nicely with your regular brass double levers. $125

IC70 Heavy German open frame corkscrew with lifting button. Marked GERMANY. $175
