Creative Final Project/Presentation
Burning Auburn
Dubiski Career High School Gym
Taken by: Angelica Solis
Setting of Photo
Taken with my Samsung Digital Camera
I took the picture because it’s unique
No one has the same eyes as the next person
The color stands out and is the main focus
My Eyes Other Brown Eyes
Lighter brown/golden on the bottom half
Darker brown/ bronze on the top half
The ring around the iris looks almost blue
Black pupil
Solid brown all the way around the iris

What the colors say about me
The lighter color represents the soft, girly, more sensitive side of me.
The darker one signifies the side no one sees, the side that is hidden, the color is on top and is concealed under the quite large pupil
The blue ring around the iris is the cool part of me. The part that keeps everything together.
Color can say many things and represent a variety of possible underlying meanings
Art Elements
The lashes on the eye, are diagonal and curved outward.
Behind the eyelids, there is a sphere, which is the eyeball, but you can only see a portion, which is in the shape of my eye.
The light in the picture brings out the values and hues of my eye makeup
The brown is vivid and bright. Not an ordinary brown.
Art Elements
The white/iridescent color of the makeup on the top eyelid is complementary to the black lashes. Then there’s the color that pops against the opal and black.
I chose the medium of photography, because it comes out clear, almost high definition.
The shape of the eye is irregular. Not all eyes are shaped the same, similar, but not exact. No two eyes are exactly the same.

The Call
“The Call”
“speaking outwords are coldturning awaydesperate lone lingers
mulling overwicked memories musterthinking throughhard logic defies
giving upheart bleeds sorrowopting outsanity regains
Could this be the choiceMust call my shots soon....”
The poem that reflects the emotion the artist put into her painting.
My interpretation of “The Call”
I feel like the artist was painting the way she felt after a tragedy. Only expressing herself through art. Heartbroken, down, tear filled eyes. The color of the eye is an icy grey. The way her heart felt after he left her. Looking into the distance, into her future without him. Long, thick black lashes, create a dramatic feel of the painting. A paint on canvas is the medium. The colors are mixed and blended in similar style to Colosio Guadalupana by Alfredo J. Calderon.
“The Call” by Kay Leeda
The time period of this painting is recent. I believe this is so, by the texture and style of the painting. It was made in Malaysia, even though it looks like something you’d see someone selling in New York.
The medium is a painting. Different colored eye. Poem gives insight into the meaning behind the painting.
The medium is photograph. Taken of a real person. Different colors inside eye. Title tells about the color.
The Call vs. Burning Auburn
Both for seeing. Both cry. Both used for the same purpose. Most people have eyes. Both are open to interpretation.
