Project of 15 homes in three different cities
Came about through a collaborative effort
Process
First application to NIFA in September 2006 was unsuccessful
Developer and DAD Housing committee persisted
By November 2009 all 15 homes occupied
Some locations have a waiting list
Innovative Points Applicant for FIT funds (trust funds) was
Dawson County Their willingness to be overall applicant
made homes possible in Lexington, Cozad, and Gothenburg
Different approach for CROWN project required cooperation from many entities and people
