The flipped classroom

Frees up teachers’ time and energy to provide more direct personal interaction with students in a more meaningful way

Help students to learn “how to learn” and then allows them to apply

Objective

What used to be done a group in the classroom (teaching factual material) is done individually by the student in their own time

What used to be done at home (practising examples, thinking about the material) is done in a group learning environment with guidance from the teacher both at group and individual level.

How does it work?

computer

What it is not!

wish to access them Multiple ways for students to access

material to suit their style of learning IT literacy

Essentials

Discussions are student led using material they have followed

Students broaden the learning by bringing in additional material they have discovered

Students learn collaboratively from one another

Students challenge one another’s knowledge
