DEVELOPMENT OF ANIMATION

Walter Disney was the creator of the most famous

of all animations from Golden age of American

animation 1937-41which was Walt Disney

animations.

He started of by making adverts for a living before

being the creator an animation for Walt Disney.

STEAMBOAT WILLIE

Walt Disney created the first ever film to have

synchronized sound included in it, this meant inside

of the film having no sound it had sound to go with

it. This film was Steamboat Willie.

SILLY SYMPHONIES

Between 1929-1939, Walt Disney created 75 short

animated subjects. This was turned into a film series

for his audience.

OLD MILL

1937 Walt Disney created The Old Mill, this was a silly

symphonies cartoon animation. This animation was a

testing ground for the animation techniques, once they

had established the multiplane camera. This is a special

motion picture camera which is used in traditional

animation process which moves a number of proves of

artwork past the camera at various speeds and at

various distances.

SNOW WHITE

Snow White was the first full length animated

feature film created by disney, it was also the first

full length film which used colour. This film was

created in 1937. This film used rotoscoping, this is

where they use real human movement to trace their

moves to then make it into animation so it looks

realistic and their body flows properly.

FANTASIA

Within 1940, the first stereophonic sound for the

film fantasia was invented. Walt Disney used

stereophonic sound which is a sound method which

creates the illusion of sound being heard from

different directions and not just one.

PRINCESS & THE FROG

Walt Disney created the film princess and the frog,

this was the last ever drawn performance which

disney created. It was then all done by CGI. This film

was created in 2009.
